We have been going to the Holiday Inn in South Kingstown since the early 90’s. Always a fun time as we just love how central it is to everything and the pool is an extra bonus. During our recent stay we were happy to see the rooms were renovated and very clean. But, what really impressed us, was the front desk staff who were all so friendly and always wanting to make sure our stay was perfect. Jason, Chrissy, Sam and Maria all deserve a shout out for providing us with such wonderful hospitality. We are already looking forward to summer 2027.

Superb

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and quiet.

Continental breakfast only If we knew before we paid extra for breakfast that it was continental only we wouldn't have paid extra and would have gone down the road to eat

When we arrived it took 3 tries to get the key to work. The room had not been made up or cleaned from the previous guest even though we arrived at 930pm. The person at the desk told us it would be some time before it would be cleaned. As an alternative we were offered a different room with a broken bedframe and the bed now on the floor.

The AC was extremely loud and didn’t work well as it was very hot in the room which kept us up all night. In addition, when using the gym, there was no water and nothing to wipe the machines with as the dispenser was empty. The hallways and elevators were hot and musty. Finally, the ice machine in the hallway ran out of ice after barely getting any ice for our buckets and it was very humid outside. Disappointed that I paid a significant amount of money for a less than stellar experience.

My friends were turned away for only being 20 years old. Nobody stayed in the room.

The room itself was very big,the bathroom was very small but everything was spotless clean. Great location had dunkin donuts next door.very quiet and beds were super comfy
-
Great location rooms were comfortable Overpriced, staff didn’t seem to happy. One elevator that was slow and at the far end.

Location is just okay. Like that they have an outdoor pool but it’s never clean (been staying here for years) tub was very clean and beds were clean and comfortable. But the sink faucet leaked and there was constant water on the entire bathroom counter, getting all of our stuff wet. Leaking faucet. That room was not clean and ready when we checked in after 4pm and had to wait with all of our stiff in the long for a while.
-
Great location, close to Narraganett, Wakefield, Wickford and the beaches. I was amazed at how well thought out this hotel was. From a nightlight and nonslip surface in the bathtub/shower to the amzing Italian restaurant Locanda located just off their main lobby
-
The prices have gone up a lot in the last couple years, but other than that, everything was fine.

Disappointing

Rooms were clean and beds comfortable

They called room service said it should be 30 mins but no more. We asked if there was a place to grab a bite to eat around and they were both very unhelpful said there's not much.....so we had to find food on our own. She said she would call me when the room is ready, took down my number. 40 mins later we returned and I walked in and she looked at me like she's never seen me. I said is my room ready?......blank stare oh yes sorry I was supposed to call you, yes it's ready. Well once we got to the room it was 76 degrees and humid. Checked the bed, filthy, stains all over sheets and duvet, some red staining all over fitted sheet. Had to call housekeeping to come in and change everything. they did and when they put a new duvet on that had a huge stain as well. He offered to change it but we had to get ready for the wedding which was now in an hour. I asked if they could come back after 6 when we were gone to change the duvet....this was never done. The hotel is ill kept (pain chipping off everywhere, dirty rugs, bathrooms) and it is poorly run.
