Hotel was undergoing maintenance which we were aware of. With all the construction the hotel was well kept and cleaned given the circumstances. What went wrong was my room was switched from 2 queen beds to one king bed without my knowledge or approval. The hotel refused to compensate us in any way and had no rooms to give us our original booking. Was the first and last time I’ll stay at a Hampton in if their policy is to change your booking without or knowledge or approval

Staff was nice. Did not eat breakfast at hotel. Location was good The atmosphere due to the construction made the hotel feel like it should not have been open. Unable to look out window due to them all being covered. Felt closed in and had to go downstairs to see what the weather was like.

The staff was so helpful when I ask what historical places to take my daughter.

Under renovation so conditions weren't the best and the room was old and musty smelling. Staff was very nice though and helpful.

We were surprised at the look from the outside, but it seems there was maintenance taking place. The stay was comfortable.

Bad

Rooms are extremely dated and worn. The construction was loud. The refrigerator was not working properly. The thermostat reverted back to 68 degrees no matter what the set point. Lastly the rooms smelled of mildew. I expected more from a Hilton property.

There was painting to the outside of building. Windows are all covered door to parking lot blocked. I had to walk around the building to get to my car. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful. Hotel will be much nicer when all updates are done

The hotel staff were all very nice. They did a great job with what Hilton handed them. We didn't know the hotel was under construction prior to arriving. What we saw as we drove up, was all windows with plastic sheeting taped over them, plus black paint overspray around all the windows. The corners of the building, with what use to be decorative trim styrofoam, was busted off. It looked like the worst GHETTO hotel we'd ever seen. We wanted to turn and run! But, it was non-refundable, so we went in. I wish I had taken a picture. The room was plenty big, but had carpet that smelled like wet dogs and felt slightly damp, therefore, wore my sandals on the carpet. The breakfast the first morning was decent, with bacon and eggs omelet style. The 2nd morning, they served what looked like hotdogs split down the middle. Couldn't eat it. The 3rd and final morning, there was no meat available to have with a waffle or scrambled eggs....only gravy, with the sign in front of it saying it contained sausage. We went to Waffle House. That was good!

Hotel was having fairly major work done on the outside and we didnt find out until we pulled in. Asked to check in 15 mins early, but were told no rooms were ready. At exactly 3PM, the entire cleaning crew left, so obviously almost all rooms were done earlier. Room had hap-hazard fixes in the bathroom around the sink and shower. The next morning when we were going down for breakfast, the cleaning crew felt like they were trying to hurry us out. All in all, not what I expected from a Hampton...

The hotel is starting renovations which made it at times noisy and not as easy to access

There was major construction to the outside of the hotel. Yellow tape marked off much of the hotel and it was difficult to find how to enter. Inside the room was a note staying the water would be turned off day after we left.
