The contactless check-in and check-out process was incredibly easy, especially since we arrived around 1:00 a.m. We were given a code for a lockbox, retrieved our room key, and never had to wait in line or check in with the front desk. It was simple, convenient, and perfect for a late-night arrival. The room was adorable! Although the motel is older, it has so much character and is very well maintained. We had a king studio that felt more like a cozy apartment than a motel room. It included a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, kitchenette, dining table, loveseat, and plenty of space to relax. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, which is always something I appreciate. The exterior is charming with beautiful landscaping and cute décor, and stepping outside to see the stunning red rock scenery made the stay even more memorable. If you're looking for a luxury resort, this isn't it. But if you want a clean, comfortable, unique, and reasonably priced place with plenty of charm, I highly recommend the Chalet Motel. I think it would make a wonderful stay for couples, solo travelers, or anyone looking for a cozy place to unwind in St. George. I would definitely stay here again!

Large, clean rooms. Easy to find and relatively good location. I like to check in with a human (in case I have questions about restaurants or activities or the hotel itself). That is not the case here. Keys are left in a lockbox and there is a phone number in case you have any issues.

Quaint and clean motel in the heart of St. George. The rooms are always clean. The beds are always comfortable. Great value for the money.

Este hotel es uno de los muchos lugares que nos hemos quedado y quedamos impresionados por este lugar. Aparte de que es muy económico, está muy bien ubicado cerca del Freeway, y muy limpio. Otra cosa tiene self check-in. Cuando llegas tarde o fuera de horario. Buenos nos gustó mucho se los recomiendo.

Love the space, full size frig, and location with walking access to restaurants.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was easy to find and had easy access to get to the freeway. Wish it had a bigger parking lot or didn't allow trucks with trailers to park in the lot.

One thing I’d like to mention to the owner: please add a secondary lock to the doors. Given that it is possible for another guest to access the key cards for someone else’s room, I would have felt better with a backup lock. I ended up putting a table in front of the door. I’m a woman who travels alone so I am sensitive about my security and do not want to rely only on the honesty of other guests. Other than this concern, the motel is great.

We needed a place to rest the night and it sufficiently fulfilled that need. When we first sat on one of the beds in the room, the bed collapsed. It was a mattress on a board that was precariously balanced on top of a square wood frame. Once we got the board squared on the wood, we were good the rest of the night. There was random people’s stuff in the drawers and the bathroom still had stuff in the floor corners - like an ibuprofen that had maybe missed someone’s mouth? I wouldn’t stay here again. It was one small step up from us all sleeping in the car at a Rest Area.

Negatives - It takes 4 to 5 minutes for the water to get hot. The tub drains very slowly so it 1/2 fills the tub while you're taking a shower. That was for our particular room. The hot water issue I've experienced in other rooms as well.
