Marriott St. Louis West

The person that checked us in was VERY professional and was the best part of the stay. The room had a strong and unpleasant odor. There were strands of hair on the sheets and pillowcases as if they had not been changed. There were pieces of what looked to be potato chips on the floor next to the bed and the shower was NOT clean. I'm not one to complain, but this experience definitely made me see Marriott as a whole, in another way.

Very nice. We stay in town but just needed a night away from home. It was perfect!

The hotel definitely needs a refresh! The lobby furniture is old and damaged. Our room was dirty. The bathroom had mold and the tile floor was dirty as well. My socks were filthy after walking around. I was disappointed for a Marriott. It was not worth the money.

Great stay

Marriott never disappoints. Always clean and quick and easy check in. We always appreciate the mini coffee machine in the room. Our room could have used an extra blanket and a few extra towels so I suggest asking at the desk next time. The air freshener in the lobby was way too strong but we only stayed one night so we could avoid it. We will be staying here next time!

Positives: The location was close to the campus.... Pillows were soft. Negatives: The hotel is run-down (dinged walls, peeling dining tables, moldy bathrooms, holes in hallway wall, rickety elevator rails), short-staffed... couldn't even staff the restraurant and bar or refill coffee machines or fix broken equipment, rooms were filthy with hairballs in corners, toenail clippings in carpet, and random things would show up after housekeeping was there (bobby-pins?). On top of all this, St. Louis West would not honor Bonvoy membership or address our concerns since it was not booked directly.

Superb

Difficult to get to this property, but very nice accommodations. Helpful staff at front desk, and nice the bar was open until midnight, as well as room service late. Very nice property!

Great stay

Room was filthy! Like wow! Just unacceptable.

After our 1 night stay in a awful near by hotel we asked for a refund and came to marriott, thank God for the comfortable bed, friendly staff and clean safe seeming environment. We actually got some sleep after driving 17 hours total in less than 2 days.
