Pool, beach and sky bar. Vacation feel.

The resort itself was beautiful. We were there in the off-season, so it wasn’t crowded so sometimes it seemed like we had the place to ourselves, which we loved. We swam in the pool for a little while every day and sat in the hot tub several times. The private beach was very peaceful each morning and evening. I got coffee each morning from the coffee shop and enjoyed it. The location was perfect. It seemed like every time we typed in a place we wanted to go it was about 20 minutes away. We visited multiple beaches in the area, the St. Pete pier, took a ferry to a Egmont Key and Shell key, and had dinner at restaurants from Madeira Beach to St Pete’s. We would absolutely stay here again!

The rooms themselves, are just ok. You have half the room that has entered 2026, and the bathroom that is still in 1986. It’s kind of gross. Overall, the hotel is fine, and the location is good.

We attended a birthday celebration and even though it was a private event, other guests were able to enjoy the live band music. Definitely worth coming back

Overall our stay was good. Amenities were spot on as described. The rooms were clean but do need to be updated and seemed to be described as luxurious online. The staff were pleasant, specifically Thomas was very welcoming. The amenities, food selection, location and night time cookies would definitely have us go back again!

The location was good. Unfortunately, our stay was terrible. The hotel is extremely outdated. Only the lobby and restaurant appear to have been renovated, while the rooms are very old and look nothing like what we expected from the photos. Even worse was the service. We had a serious issue with our room door, which would not open at all. The staff was unable to resolve the problem, and we ended up having to sleep in another room without access to any of our belongings. We had to sleep in the clothes we had been wearing, without even being able to brush our teeth or access basic necessities. We were traveling with two children, including a toddler who still wears diapers, which made the situation even more unacceptable. This was an extremely frustrating and uncomfortable experience, and the way the situation was handled made it even worse. I would not recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend. Beautiful property. Lots of things to do (pool, beach, games, beach bar). Staff attentive. It is a classic older authentic Florida property. No cookie cutter Holiday Inn, SkyBeach is a beautiful classic, the real deal.
