Best Western Starke

Our daughter experienced a medical emergency and had to go to the emergency room earlier that day. Because she was diagnosed with contagious conjunctivitis, she was unable to stay in the hotel room we had reserved for her. We truly appreciate the fact that the BW team took the time to understand our circumstances and cancelled the reservation for us. They did not have to do that, but you chose to help us—and that meant a great deal to our family. When someone is dealing with an unexpected medical situation involving their child, the last thing they need is to worry about additional complications or financial concerns. Your willingness to work with us provided one less thing for us to worry about at a difficult time. Your actions are a wonderful example of what genuine customer service looks like. It wasn’t simply about cancelling a reservation; it was about showing compassion and understanding when our family needed it. Please extend our sincere appreciation to everyone at the Best Western Starke who helped with our situation. We will remember your kindness and the way you treated our family.

Moldy shower

Room was clean and a decent size. Loved the shower. It had glass shower doors instead of a curtain. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Comfortable beds

Breakfast was fine.

The breakfast was one of the best! Eggs, potatoes, sausage, English muffins, toast, 4 kinds of cereal, waffles, yogurts, oatmeal, muffins, juices, coffee, fruit, bananas. The rooms were clean with refrigerator and microwave. The shower was large and plenty of hot water. King bed had 5 pillows that were very comfy. All this at a most reasonable price!

Everything was super clean. The only complaint I could have was the big screen TV on the wall. The brackets were pulled away from the wall, and the TV was hanging very crooked. Also, I checked in about 730 had a prior reservation. There’s only one person on staff. I think he was overwhelmed the wait time to get three people checked in ahead of me was over a half an hour.

Very clean room and hotel. The beds were comfortable the front desk people were awesome and very friendly. The breakfast was good

The bathroom is the room had urine stains and hairs on the toilet, shower and floor. The sheets are scratchy and the pillows lumpy. My daughter went to breakfast twenty minutes before they closed and they were out of almost everything and wouldn't refill. I stayed two nights and the next morning I explained the issues of how dirty the room was. I was assured the bathroom would be cleaned and it never was. Ty, the guy at the front desk who worked night shift was the only saving grace and the reason I added more stars. He was so busy and did everything he could to help. He was polite, professional, courteous and so helpful.

Not a strong water pressure in the shower

Everything was great the staff was perfect the rules was very clean the accommodations was very nice I would definitely recommend and I would definitely be staying again

Arrived late at night and the man at check in was so friendly and kind. He offered me bottled water. The room was very clean and smelled great! With small kids it’s a benefit having the cars parked right at your room. Breakfast was delicious and the waffles were the best touch. The AC worked great — I bumped it down and it kept us cool. If we ever travel through the area again, this is where we will stay.

Very good for an older property

Al principio todo parecía muy bien,por la noche y de mañana diferente le llaman "wáter bug's"animalitos de agua y en Puerto Rico yo les llamo "cuchara" bebes y no so bebes.en el baño y después en la mesa de noche debajo del mesa de noche y el refrigerador. Pero se veía bien al principio.appaeiencias engañan!!!

Awesome hotel in a really cool old fashioned historic town. Amazing staff. Very well versed in customer service.
