everything was so quiet a place to relax

Had to remind the cleaning staff to leave coffee, sugar and cups almost daily. Resort could clean the beach more and remove the zargasumm from the sand like I've seen other resorts do.

Great access to the beach . Staff super accommodating and friendly.

During our stay, the elevators were out of service, which was a major inconvenience, especially when we were on the top floor having to walk 3 flights of stairs . We also experienced a water outage for several hours, and the TVs never had internet access for the entire duration of our visit. The bathroom design was also disappointing, with no door separating the bathroom area from the room. The toilet and shower were only enclosed behind one door, and the shower itself only had a half door, making it uncomfortable and lacking privacy. The provided soap and shampoo had a strong masculine scent that was not enjoyable, and many amenities that you would expect to be included came with additional charges. Food, drinks, and other resort amenities were significantly overpriced. The resort’s description was also misleading. It was advertised as being “on the beach,” which gave the impression that guests could simply walk downstairs and access the beach directly. In reality, the main hotel was a drive away from the beach access, which was not what we expected. Overall, the resort was overpriced and did not deliver the experience promised. Between the lack of basic services, additional fees, misleading beach access description, and overall value, I would not recommend staying here.

The property was conveniently located close to the beach with a clean pool and hot tub available for use during our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The biggest issue was the condition of our room. The balcony was covered in bird droppings, making it completely unusable. One of the reasons we booked this property was to enjoy sitting outside, but that wasn’t even possible. To make matters worse, only one elevator was working during our stay, resulting in long waits and unnecessary inconvenience. Before our arrival, I had arranged for a cheese tray to be delivered to our room as a special touch. It never arrived. During my stay, the manager texted to ask how everything was going. I explained both the balcony issue and the missing cheese tray. He assured me that housekeeping would come clean the balcony, but no one ever showed up. The cheese tray was never delivered either. What disappointed me most wasn’t just the problems themselves—it was the lack of follow-through. Promises were made, but nothing was done to resolve the issues. For the price of this resort and the Marriott brand, I expected much better service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again unless significant improvements are made.

I recently stayed at the Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort from July 15–26, and unfortunately, my experience fell well below the standard I expected from a Marriott property. Our first room had numerous maintenance and housekeeping issues that should have been identified long before any guest checked in. The dishwasher was broken and smelled of mildew, several kitchen drawers were broken, the refrigerator door was literally coming off its hinges, there was a noticeable buildup of caked-on dust on the bedroom ceiling, and there was a recently patched hole in the bedroom wall. Although the room clearly had significant problems, we remained there for seven days. My husband was working remotely throughout our stay and had an extensive work-from-home setup that required multiple monitors and other equipment. Packing everything up, disconnecting his workspace, and relocating to another room would have caused a major disruption to his work, so we did our best to make the room work despite the ongoing issues. When we were finally moved to another room, I expected the experience to improve. Unfortunately, the replacement room also had maintenance issues. The sofa bed frame was broken and unusable, requiring the use of a rollaway bed. While the staff was courteous and attempted to resolve the situation, the condition of both rooms did not meet the level of quality I expect from a Marriott resort, especially at the price we paid.

Everything about this stay was above and beyond. The thing that stood out to us the most was the friendliness and helpfulness of each and every staff member that we interacted with. We had a really nice time.

The television never worked they had men coming in both days for over 30 minutes to an hour interrupting our rest time in the room and they couldn't fix it or replace it . The technical guy stated that this room had had that problem in the past and they never corrected so management was aware of the problem never fixed the issues or took it off the active room system. there was no luggage rack or anywhere to put the luggage there was no ironing board and or iron The curtains were broken so the light would come through. No tissue paper The shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom so anyone can slip and fall at any time there should be a slope in the shower floor to avoid the whole bathroom getting wet. When we checked in the staff was really lacks the days ago about our issues and only offered to take off our Resort fee. The second day we spoke to a manager he was nicer but still did not resolve the issues. This unit should have never been in the active inventory and the manager should have known that. Everything was so inconvenience to us coming to hotel to work and then rest and rest never happened only when we slept Until sunrise for the light came in the curtains and we woke up way too early I hope this unit was taken off the list cuz I wouldn't want anyone else to go through it we went through

Staff was super friendly and helpful., Very in tune to the needs of guests. Resort property was well maintained. It was a little annoying that on the last day of our stay the pool area was being pressure washed so it was loud and most of the pool was corded off so it could not be used. Overall a great experience

Everything bad

The room: It was a beautiful room, but not efficient. The towels were on the opposite side from the shower. The refrigerator was beautiful, but didn’t keep anything cold. No closet to hang up clothing. We were supposed to use a shelving unit to hang our clothing. The lamps on the night stands were so large that nothing else fit on the table. My husband uses a C-pap, and needed that space. Whoever the decorator is for Marriot is more interested in beauty than efficiency. This room is our home for the days we are there. It should not be frustrating.

I like the environment and location but I wish you had a separate pool for the kids

Clean room, newly renovated, had a fee minor issues with the room, but the hotel made it right. Breakfast was 😋, honey loves a hotel with a hot tub. And the drinks and food at the pool were delish!!!

You can stay on beach but if you pick a normal room at the main resort you have to take a golf cart to the beach. Having the beach chairs was a nice perk. Rooms are very spacious. Elevator was broken.

Everything in the property was great except we had some small roaches in our room, staff did act accordingly and quick to get the issue resolved. Will come back for our yearly retreat.

Some of the places were hard to find. Restaurants/coffee shops/ were in different buildings. The property is really spread out. Golf course is beautiful!

All fine, but my Marriot account number never got applied to the say so i missed out on loyalty points :(
