Best Western The Inn At The Fairgrounds

Very convenient and in walking distance to the State Fair and the Empower Amphitheater for a concert! I will be back!

Room was clean walking distance to NYS FAIRGROUNDS

Cleanliness There was no coffee maker in the room

Dealt with 4 staff members. Three out of the four were grumpy for the most part. Asked where the gym was located. The staff member asked us if we were staying on the property. Well, why would be ask where the gym was if we weren’t? Only had orange juice for breakfast. It was watered down. Parking was great. We’d stay there again. Hopefully a couple of the staff members find a new job they are happy with before then.

The proximity to the fairgrounds was definitely a plus. That was the sole purpose of our stay. Upon arrival the place was clean and neat. The front desk staff presence was minimal. You had to ring the bell because he was emptying the garbage and cleaning the bathroom. He was very nice but with minimal conversation. There was no coffee, tea or water on arrival and we found out that the shuttle to the fairgrounds had been eliminated. That was a disappointment. The room was fairly clean but with stained ceilings and a refrigerator that smelled bad and was broken. We needed to put some meds and food in there. I went to the desk and no one was around. Finally he came out and I told him about the fridge. He said maintenance may not be available. I asked if a fridge could be moved from another room???? No. It was never addressed and we never did get a fridge. So, I got ice and used the little cooler we brought with us. The smell in the halls, the worn and stained ceiling, the broken fridge. And we went to the fitness center and found broken equipment and a smell of strong cat urine. The treadmill had been taken apart and the elliptical didn’t work. So much for a post dinner workout.

It was a nice hotel with helpful staff. Uber away from Syracuse college and mall. Bad points the restaurant Daniella's steakhouse is there at the hotel but only with reservations. Which sucks! The elevators were not working and no safe in the room! Staff was helpful and understanding. Recommend this hotel

Beds were comfortable. But they need to clean properly the rooms and hallways. Its smells like an old man. They need yo invest in air purifier and air fresheners

Nice and clean, basic rooms. We choose as within walking distance to the music venue, albeit a walk along a main road with no sidewalks. Your standard hotel self serve breakfast. Good restaurant in the pace, reservations required.

Elevator was broken, but outside of that, it is a good place for the money.

Room was very clean staff was nice. It looks like renovations are coming to an end our room had new carpet and was very well kept.

The carpets were cleaned and still wet in the room. The smell of chemicals was very strong in the room.

Just an okay property. There are many better hotels in Syracuse.

The elevator was out of service, the entire four days The bathroom sink did not drain properly It turns out you have to ask more than 24 hours ahead of time for a housekeeping visit to the room The kid entrance on the side of the building did not lock I don’t know that I would come back

I booked a hotel room for three people with two queen beds. When I arrived, the receptionist was rude and claimed the booking was for only one bed; I showed her the reservation, and she said nothing. The elevator wasn't working, so I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Early in the morning—at 8:00 AM—someone started banging on the door. An hour later, there was another knock; I opened the door to find a cleaner who said they were checking the rooms. I told her my checkout wasn't until 11:00, but an hour later she knocked again. It was a terrible morning. I was in Best Western Downtown Syracuse reception was so friendly, hotel was clean. in Best Western Plus Brooklyn Emmons and Best Western Brooklyn Coney Island., the hotels was so clean staff was friendly. but Best Western The Inn at the Fairgrounds horrible experience.
