Alpine Lake Resort

It was a very nice place to stay.

The hotel and property was very quiet. Which was good if you were wanting a restful stay.

Staff was exceptional. I took my 81 year old Mom who did not do well overnight. I checked out early the next morning. The staff cancelled my second night with no charge. This was incredibly kind. I would stay here again gladly

The property was beautiful but the ac in the room kept us up all night, every time it would kick on it made a horrible noise. The room was comfortable otherwise and it was nice to have a balcony. I will say, we did not complain/mention the noice from the ac but I’m sure they would have been more than helpful if we did. The breakfast was a little unexpected, it’s just cereal bars and food you have to heat up yourself so we did not really enjoy that. The stay itself was okay.

Room is very basic, but clean. Stuff is helpful. Breakfast is very basic (from the fridge, you heat the stuff yourself). Restaurant on the property grounds during the summer is not open Monday and Tuesday, one needs to drive 15 minutes minimum to nearest town.

The place was beautiful

Not far from Pittsburgh yet in the serene mountains of West Virginia, you feel a world away. Very relaxing. We are already planning our return!

The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfy. The front closes at 9pm. We got a lot of “I don’t know” or “I’m not sure.” With almost everything we asked about, could not tell us about where the beach area was, what band was playing in their boat house. The first night our television did not work and continued til the next day which they moved us and comp us. Internet connection was poor but we were there to relax. The firepitt was very nice. The housekeeper Aimee was very helpful! But it was a okay clean place. Just need some adjustments and communication with staff.

I would say this, if you’re not a golfer, I would look into other resorts because lodging is tight in the middle of the golf course.

The property is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere truly allows you to unwind and relax.

The resort looked so nice, my wife and I wished we had time ti stay longer.

The place was pristine, so clean, and quiet! Outside of the place shutting down with nothing to do after 9pm, the water was lovely, clean and so clear! We are definitely coming back!

Also, the restaurant prices are much too high for the area. I know it is a different company that operates the restaurant, but they seriously need to reduce their prices.

Beautiful resort. The staff are very friendly and are helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. Loved the private balcony to every room. The rooms were priced nice for the time I made my reservation. The restaurant was a little over priced and the food was bland. And it would be nice for more things for families to do so they wouldn't have to go 20-30 minutes down the mountain every time .

We got locked in the pool area, told it closed at 2300. We had to use the emergency exit (which didn’t alarm). Not a lot left for breakfast for the “normal folk” not there for the golf tournament…
