For such high daily rates, no breakfast included, broken vending machines, and maps with no street names to help guide, we have preffered other stays in NH more.

Great place to stay with the family. When my daughter left her stuffed puppy behind they shipped it out for us with a Steele Hill Resorts stuffed animal to keep her puppy company on the journey back home.

My only complaint/regret was the timing. It was Laconia Bike Week. The bikers themselves were really good folks. Friendly and courteous to a fault. The only issue is the noise. Motorcycles are loud and a lot of motorcycles are very loud. Probably a reflection of my age. But getting to sleep was challenging. I would highly recommend the Steel Hill Resort.

The resort is old and we did not have time to use the amenities, such as the pools. The restaurant has good food. I probably won't return there.

My family and I stayed for the first time during memorial weekend and we had a great time. I loved the balcony view and activities for the kids, with the indoor swimming pool and option to grill outside. What was also great was that the staff was so pleasant and helpful. I plan on going back.

The front desk girl was quick and let us come in early, but she wasn’t very friendly or helpful. I asked her recommendations for things to do over the weekend. She didn’t have anything to say except ,”You should definitely swim”. We found a perfect 50’s Diner called the Tilt’n Diner in Tilton, NH about 20 minutes away. The wait goes fast and the food is so fresh and cooked to order. We went back there the next day, too. I slept on the couch, since I gave my sister the king-sized bed and bedroom. No sheets or blankets or pillows were in the room for the terrible, bar-across-your-back skinny mattress pullout couch. I just slept on the couch without opening it opened up the second night. My sister slept well. I did not. We had gone there for a concert in Gilford. The drive was easy and it’s so pretty there. The food and beer selection (I got a flight of 4) were very good. The waitress we had was so sweet.

We were very happy with all the accommodations, the view was amazing! The only thing that I can say negative is the WiFi was a little spotty. We went there on motorcycles and they even had a bike wash station that had everything you needed! Great stay!

Stayed in lodge. Very old and dated. Loud Party downstairs in main area which echoed up to the second floor to rooms. Moldy ceiling in bathroom as no fan. Ok room cleanliness. Ate at the restaurant there for breakfast - wouldn’t recommend. Overall I think very overpriced for stay.

The old hot tub base just looks worn so not appealing to step into for a shower. Weird tub spout thing to turn on the shower. Bedding was good. Happy to have windows that opened. Towels were clean. Weird no sink inside the bathroom. Generous double sinks but would prefer one inside the bathroom itself. Little fridge was loud. The electrician who helped us was so polite and efficient. He was great. The wedding venue was fabulous! The view is truly spectacular. It was beautiful up there Grounds were well maintained. Little convenience store was ok. It was not as remote as I thought. Tilton is just down the road. Go to the Tilton Diner! Very authentic. Overall it wasn’t bad. Minus the smoke alarms.

If you stay on the North side, the rooms are newer and amazing. The South side, however, definitely shows its age. Despite that, the staff were friendly, and the facilities were exceptionally clean throughout our stay

Family friendly, great location, beautiful views, and it was wonderful to have a full kitchen in our suite!

This hotel was excellent—spotless rooms, friendly staff, and a perfect location. I would definitely stay here again

Room was nice but took a long way from the pool area. I specifically asked to be by the pool as I was traveling with small children. I was given a room far away in the same building with lots of stair. No access for a stroller. It was tough carrying a baby in a car seat along with everything we needed at the pool. Not one person at the resort put any thought into the room we stayed in. Requested a crib, it was left upstairs and we had to bring it down ourselves. I'm a 58 year grandmother with my daughter and her kids. Not good.
