Avon Hotel

As soon as we got to our floor, the second floor, we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke despite it being a non-smoking floor (maybe even hotel?). Throughout the night we kept getting whiffs of cigarettes throughout the room. The most concerning part, under the bathroom counter there were glue traps for mice and other bugs and insects which leads me to believe it’s not the cleanest, most maintained hotel. Luckily, we were only there for a night but if we took our family there for a vacation I’d be very disappointed to stay in that hotel

The bones of the hotel are good. It's everything else that is in the hands of management that fell short. Dust in the air vent, a lamp that flashed like a strobe light when it was on (management replaced with one from another room but that lamp was quite dirty), no drain plugs in the sink or tub, a glue trap in the bathroom, one tiny trash can for the entire room, a non-functional ice maker, the entire second floor smelling like smoke, slow Internet, and a hotel manager that knocked on the door five minutes before 11:00 checkout to ask if we were checking out, then hovered nearby as we left the room.

The property was dirty and smelled horrible and the sink was broken leaking water all over bathroom horrible place I won’t stay here even if they offer free rooms disgusting place

1st room was a bust. Immaculate but horrific odor from a definite long term Tennant who smoked like a chimney in the room. I requested a new room which was perfect and clean with no horrific odor. Not sure why I didn't get this room the 1st time because 108 should not even be offered. A lot of long term residents live here but were not a problem. They hopefully in the future will repair the pool. Nice size. Shower was great... water hot! Beds and linens were comfy and AC in 2nd Deluxe room was nice and cold. I would stay here in a deluxe room again minus the smell. Close to everything.

Bed was terrible very poor condition. The next morning bathroom was flooded from upstairs. If i didn't put light on i would have fallen! Nobody called to say i may have water or tub overflowed upstairs. I won't return to pay for what i just went through.

Basic room. Worth the discount price. Fourth time I have stayed there.

Carpet smells in the entire building. A huge ice built up in the freezer and prevented from keeping items cold. Litters and used fake nail between the mattresses. We left early.

Location Everything else . Very dirty elevator was broken. Bed was uncomfortable.
