Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Vernal near Dinosaur Monument

I showed up to have a four night stay at this property and upon entering my room the extreme smell of mold was overwhelming. The floors were disgusting dirty. The beds smelled like they hadn’t been washed. The bathroom was gross. The furniture was torn, and upon notifying the property manager, she confirmed my issues and because I did not want to accept another room as I was now afraid of staying at the property with my four young grandchildren, she charged me not only for one night but almost doubled the rate that I was quoted and then tried to keep $25 of my hundred dollar deposit when I was only in the room for five minutes before we came out and notified property manager of the situation. Very dishonest very dirty very highly not recommended!

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. When turning on the faucets for the first time the water came out brown and took a moment to run before clean water came out.

Staff were very accommodating. However, the property overall was in terrible condition. Literally falling apart. BUT! For the price it’s a place to sleep and bathe. So, not truly complaining.

This is now an Econo Lodge. It must be a recent change because Antlers Inn stuff is still around much of the property. I will say the only good thing here was the size of the room. There was plenty of space for our family of 6. But they'll at is the only good thing I can report. It was in the 90s in Vernal and the room was very hot. The air conditioning unit was in the bathroom area and was not very cool, but even if it was it would have taken for ver to reach the sleeping area. The room also felt very dirty. The sheets were fine, but the floor and furniture were quite disgusting. The kids wanted to try the pool, but we got there and who knows when it was last cleaned. There was tons of dirt, bugs, and trash in throughout it. They did not stock the area with towels and the kids used a room towel when we got back to the room. We then later had to ask the front for a few more towels and they were not happy about it. Whatever you do, stay elsewhere. This cheap hotel is not worth saving money.

No heat in any of the rooms. Had to ask for extra blankets just to stay warm and the beds were extremely uncomfortable with very thin mattresses. Pool was unusable and the only thing available in the morning was coffee and tea.

Our room was so much nicer than we expected. Everything was clean and plenty of toiletries were provided. The pool looked so fun we didn't have time to get in, but it looked great. We would definitely stay here again and we are so glad this us the place we picked!. Thank yall.

Somehow Expedia double booked me for this hotel. It took 30 min to resolve. Jamie who was working at the front desk was there to help resolve the issue with Expedia. She was professional and calm the entire time. Our room was upgraded and exceed my expectations. Made our short trip to Dinosaur National Monument very nice. This hotel is also next to two great local places to eat too.

The room was clean, a carpet was with dirty spots. Stars leading to the second floor were stinky.

We had a nice clean room with alot of space. It worked out great for us.

Ok for one night. Pretty old & worn---stained/frayed carpet; mirror frame falling off the wall; paint in bad shape; funky old lamp & chair. BUT! It WAS clean, the bathroom had been updated & remodeled, the bed slept well, the staff was great. Again, ok for one night.

Washer at the laundry it's been down for weeks wich makes it very inconvenient for people that work. Also the bathroom exhaust fan doesn't work, shower drain doesn't work that well.

The room was okay. One of the blinds was broken and the room was very brightly lit all night. It was dated but okay. We probably won't be staying there again.

Good motel just missing the washer in the laundry, also breakfast is at 7am not to convenient for people that work early.

Great value for the money. Great thick towels, comfortable bed good water pressure and true frig with a seprate freezer. 3 star hotels don't give you that! Traveling and trying to keep ice packs frozen is difficult. Older property but well kept. We stay each time we are in Vernal.

This app is friendly the rooms were clean and they were polite and they had the rooms look just like the pictures and it's not even that expensive to stay love that thank you for having us.

Clean rooms and wonderful staff

Good location for us. Beds reasonably comfortable. This is an old motel that shows some wear and tear, but the price is good. What one would expect.

They didn’t offer breakfast, but they said they could get a discount at the restaurant next door. We showed up and told them we were from the motel. The restaurant wouldn’t give us the discount until we showed them the coupon the motel was supposed to have sent us, we didn’t ever receive an email. We had to go back over to the motel to get the coupon before they would seat us. Not a huge deal, but annoying. Then we weren’t offered the whole menu with our coupon, there were a lot of things that didn’t apply. In the end, I’m not sure how much the coupon actually saved us.
