The Founders Inn and Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The concierge and cleaning staff were so kind and helpful. The room was just ok, it felt moderately clean, except for the bedding which was perfect. The ac in the room was incredibly loud and banged throughout the night. I also wish the room had more spaces to hang dry towels and bathing suits. The stay overall just reminded me why I usually choose air b&bs now.

The property is absolutely gorgeous . The staff goes above and beyond to help you . I went there with my wife and 18 month daughter . We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the pool. Overall great experience and would recommend anyone in the area to stay here .

Great place and ambience

This space is gorgeous, but it’s also tricky to navigate and overpriced. The breakfast buffet was good, but we had to get assistance twice just to get the waffle batter to work. The slide on the pool was closed the whole second day of our stay, and it closed at 5 pm the first day which was wild to me. We only got to go on it once. The vending machines were great, though.

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally nice and attentive, quickly helping with anything we needed. It’s a fantastic option for families looking for a peaceful, welcoming resort experience near Virginia Beach. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

What a lovely hotel-absolutely beautiful and peaceful grounds. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable and the shower was great with nice towels and fragrant toiletries. I didn’t get the chance to visit the spa but my son and daughter in law (residents of Virginia Beach) say it’s their go-to spa. I usually stay with my kids but occasionally when the whole family is together, I’ll definitely stay here again!

It was a nice stay

Let me start by saying I would definitely come back. It’s such an awesome place overall-old time feel but updated nicely. However, I will do that being aware of some things that might not make it my option for every trip depending on situation or who is coming. Clean & nice space in rooms. Despite being on our floor starting housekeeping & signs all off our door-we left a nice pile of towels ready for them & they never did our room. So, we had no towels & full trash. Called & told them I was waiting to take kids to pool, they told me to wait. I waited 45 min and finally took my kids. They did bring them later in evening. Also, if you or your kids love the outdoor pool since it is summer..:know that the hours are not very long being that it’s summer & pool season. 11-7 was pretty short and so we showed up 20 min before closing-they told us we had 20 min when we asked-so my kids rushed to throw suits on be back asap…to be told “oh well the slide closes 15 min earlier than the pool so you only have 4 min now.” They got to slide one time bc instead of a worker monitoring the slide-the have a white board sign that 1 entry at a time while anyone else waits at bottom AND outside entire gate. So, by time someone climbs up & goes, then someone else climbs up its 2 min. Just a little odd. Otherwise-it is very pretty! Staff were overall kind.

The location was perfect for where we needed to be.

Clean room, professional staff, manicured landscape and excellent breakfast

I think for the price of the inn the experience should have been better.

The bed was super uncomfortable. The room could've been a little bit and some stuff was broken didn't work.
