Major remodeling since I visited last. Rooms were updated and excellent. Clean. quiet. Restaurant on site was great.

Staff was extremely helpful with our dogs. Great room , view from the deck was cool! Great restaurant.
-
Location because it was removed from the noises of traffic. The check in is messed up because the desk checked us as the wrong people and I have not received my refund for an ?deposit? I believe it is still against the wrong room.

Absolutely nothing except the hotel room refrigerator was very very good. The best ever all the noise, the staff, lack of any modernization. Tv sucked, etc

Pros. Very clean, comfortable beds, helpful staff, quiet location (some of the guests not so much). Free coffee/hot chocolate is available and you can buy bottled water on site. Location is beautiful. Nice spacious showers (no bath). Chop House restaurant was excellent but probably the most expensive restaurant in Alaska that I've ever been to (and I live here)! Breakfast was also ok, had hot items like eggs and sausages, a cereal selection, fresh fruit, toast, muffins, MYO waffles, juice, coffee and some snacks like granola bars. Cons. No air conditioning so the room was like a sauna! Hotel provides fans and you can open the window, but that exposes you to the noise of the parking lot and noisy non-hotel guests who are eating at the restaurant, which is not ideal. We were not aware that we would need a reservation to eat in the on-site restaurant, so after a 7 hour drive to get there, and starving, we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table to become available. No big deal, but we could have been made to wait longer, or worse, not been able to get a table at all. The room rate doubles during State Fair time.

Beautiful locations over looking Lake Lucille. Room was clean and comfortable. We had difficulty with the heat but gentleman on staff can down a couple times to be sure we were comfortable, even bringing an extra quilt. Very accommodating! Chop House, which is attached to the property was expensive but good. They accommodated us but putting salmon on the salad, which was not on the menu! Would definitely go again!

Comfortable beds in a acceptable sized room, located on a beautiful lake outside of Wasilla. We stayed here as we arrived on a late flight from Anchorage and wanted to drive up to Denali NP - it turned out to be the perfect stop becuase we had a great nights rest, and woke up to a stunning mountain view on a lovely little lake as well as a nicely stocked and fully included breakfast (fresh waffle makers were a hit) that can be eaten on a terrace overlooking said lake. We ended up coming back here on the way back down because our little kids liked it so much. The water pressure in the shower wasn't the greatest but on the scale of our experience which as about 12 hours in total, this was pretty minor.

It was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our 7 night trip to Alaska.

Beautiful views and rustic feel. What else would you expect in Alaska. Not bougie or high-end. Very clean with wonderful views and great location.
