Highly recommend!

The location and views were amazing. Lots of lovely spots all around the property to sit and enjoy. Really beautiful and peaceful property. Lots of activities available. Staff at front desk was friendly. Fresh water easily accessible in lobby area. Carpeting was worn and stained in stairs and hallways…could have used a good shampoo! The room we had was older and had stains on ceiling. Could use some updating in parts of the hotel. Some of the activities could have been included in the price of the stay.

Although this is a beautiful and historic property, it is filthy. The entrance rug was disgraceful. The rugs coming off the elevator were soiled and contained an offensive odor. The elevator doors and floor were spilled on and were not cleaned for the duration of our stay. The toilet in the guest room was exceptionally low - certainly not comfort height. For the caliber of this hotel, it was HIGHLY disappointing! The guest room was kept clean but wires were hanging from the TV. Mostly, however, the common areas were unkept and dirty. The staff was ambivalent. The one server on the veranda, was not attentive or friendly. The breakfast buffet ended at 11:00. We walked in a 10:45 and were allowed to partake in the remaining items on the buffet but were rushed. We were told the buffet closed at 10:45 to clean up. If restaurant hours are posted until 11:00 then full service should be made available for the full duration of time. This hotel can not rest on its laurels because of its majesty. It needs to provide better service and cleanliness. We will not return and will not recommend it.

Loved this resort. Hope they renovate the interior pool / jacuzzi soon but the outdoor pool area is so great! Really makes the place in the summer. Front porch and rocking chairs are amazing too!

Didn’t get us checked in till close to 6 pm. Disappointing at such a high cost to stay. Rooms are outdated and in need of some maintence. Outdoor pool and farm were nice. Staff were not on the same page when it came to accommodations. Place could be great!

At dinner, the service was very disappointing. We ordered food, but for a table of three people, the staff didn’t bring enough plates or serving utensils for the appetizers. Lunch was mostly sandwiches and fries. We prefer to eat fries with forks, but none were provided. Overall, the food service and attention to detail need significant improvement.
