Top 3 clam chowder we’ve ever had (we’re from Boston). Farm friends feeding hour - we got here and it was a nice time to see the animals but there wasn’t any feeding happening. The farmer ended up going away eventually and my kids were so disappointed so I found her in an office area and had to ask about the feeding part - she seemingly begrudgingly gave the 3 of use a couple carrot slices to share and said we could feed the goats those. (Then of course other people asked where we got those, etc.) 2 days in a row the afternoon cookies ran out within 10 min. My kids of course were upset and we kept checking back but they were not replenished. These seemingly small incidents sound ridiculous but it’s what the kids remember, of course… I have a distinct memory of this from our last visit there as well - the carpet on the second floor off the elevator was absolutely filthy then and absolutely filthy now. Time to clean more often or at the very least put a patterned rug there! Really kind of gross to see in a high-end resort. We needed a rollaway bed. I asked for it for the first time at 4:00pm. I had to ask 3 more times - it didn’t arrive until 10:00pm. [Which means my youngest didn’t go to bed until after 10:00pm.] No shower hook to hang your bath towel up outside the shower is a little thing that adds to the ease of your day. PS: Where are people supposed to put their towel while they’re in the shower? On the floor? Very disappointing a mores only go until 8pm. We had to leave our dinner unfinished to make sure the kids were able to get there in time. And obviously people also have to choose between the evening movie OR s’mores - can’t do both. It’s not even dark out by 8pm for most of the summer. Also the front desk person told us they extinguish the fire at 8:00pm. When we got there the employee at the fire told us they just stop adding wood at 8:00pm but it would keep burning. ? Would be nice to know which one so we could have planned better.

Gorgeous resort!

The setting is gorgeous with terrific mountain views. The exterior, grounds and gardens are pristine. The room was clean and comfortable. Food in the dining room was ok but not great. Carpeting in hallways is old and in need of updating. We enjoyed our stay but for the price we expected a little more.

Absolutely beautiful setting. Not a bad view from anywhere on the expansive property. Food was delicious and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was happy to help and engaged with guests just in passing.

Nice hotel. Kids liked the farm animals and making smores at night.

As two adults traveling without children or grandchildren, we were very disappointed in the lack of peacefulness and serenity we were hoping for. The lobby was always very noisy with small children, and we were woken up in the morning before 6:30am by kids jumping and running in the room above us. We wanted to have dinner in the resort dining room but could barely hear each other talking because of the loud families. Additionally, our bathroom had one overhead light in the middle of the bathroom ceiling which made some personal hygiene tasks quite difficult — with no lights near the mirror. There were windows in the bathroom that might have provided light, but our room was on the first floor with public areas right outside, so we kept the shades closed. The front desk person who checked us in was delightful, as well as Ashley and Maddie, two of the wait staff. Our room was clean, the bathroom, too.

All else was great.

Beautiful mountain setting. Lovely, historic property that I enjoyed with my two children for a end of summer getaway. A few more hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in New Hampshire! The resort is beautiful, with breathtaking White Mountain views, gorgeous grounds, and that classic New England charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. The location was perfect for our family trip to Santa’s Village — close enough to make the drive easy, while still feeling like a peaceful mountain getaway. After a fun day at Santa’s Village, it was wonderful to come back to the resort and relax. There was so much to enjoy right on the property, including the pools, beautiful outdoor spaces, activities, and the farm. The kids especially loved having so much to explore, and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained even when we weren’t out sightseeing. The resort has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and incredible mountain scenery. Sitting outside and taking in the views was one of our favorite parts of the stay. If you’re planning a family trip to Santa’s Village or exploring the White Mountains, I would highly recommend Mountain View Grand. Five stars all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would definitely come back!

Loved the pool, the farm, and the sports/activities center. We played tennis and visited the alpacas every morning. My kids were obsessed with the outdoor pool area, and having dinner on the deck at sunset was amazing. Great stay overall, one hiccup was how slow the dinner service was. They were definitely understaffed and it took forever to order and receive dinner/drinks/check. The servers were very friendly and apologetic, but it’s hard waiting an hour for dinner with little kids! We did go out for dinner 2 night because of this.

Our second time visiting this hotel and another amazing experience! All the amenities are great, especially if you’re coming with kids! My husband also golfed twice, so he’s happy as well!

First of all, the hotel and pool are beautiful. The farm on the property and the view were very special. Some aspects of the building could use some work. In particular the carpets were dirty and our room smelled pretty bad and for some reason the whole section of carpet in front of the door was very wet when we arrived and never really dried out. The staff was a mess. Check in was an hour late despite 4pm being “guaranteed”. Several other rooms for the wedding weren’t ready until after 6pm. When we asked for an extra key card they deactivated the old ones so other people in the room couldn’t use them. We tried to get an itemized receipt and explanation of charges and the staff was just like I don’t know how or I don’t know who’s card this will go on. The after party at the bar after the wedding that was hosted by the hotel was abruptly cut by basically being bounced by staff. I get they want to close but this is hospitality 101 when someone pays a lot of money for a wedding at your hotel to be tactful about informing people they are closing. It felt like every staff member was just starting their first week there.

The bedding was very comfortable and the room was nice, it’s a beautiful property and setting, will go back sometime.

The shower in our room was dirty. There was a ton of rust on the curtain rod. The air conditioning unit made so much noise all night long but I didn’t dare switch rooms because my youngest daughter had just fallen asleep. Overall the hotel is not worth the price. Very disappointing.
