Loved the atmosphere of the whole place and room and liked how cozy it felt. The staff was awesome and breakfast was great. The room was a little dark, our air would not cool below 70 but the bathroom was amazing Had great light for hair and makeup and had a big magnifying makeup mirror. The Inn was easy to get to from anywhere in Williamsburg. Loved the drive up to the Inn, very quaint.

Beautiful grounds - great wine! Definitely haunted! :)

First off, the staff were kind and very helpful. My husband and I did not feel the quality of our stay matched the price we paid. Though the pool was nice, the tile around the pool was falling apart, all the chairs were missing cushions, there were tree berries littering the tile and the metal table/chairs all 5 days during our stay, and there were coffee cups trashed in the garden. We stayed in one of the nicest, most expensive rooms, but it was definitely lacking in cleanliness. It appeared the floor beneath the pull out sofa and the bed hadn’t been cleaned in over a year, there was what looked like dog hair in the upstairs rug, there were used tissues in the downstairs closet that holds the safe, there was a used cotton round on the floor of the upstairs bathroom, and there were splash marks on the bathroom wood vanity from previous guests. The shower had very little shampoo and body wash in the dispensers so we had to request for refills during our stay. The hotel as a whole seems it needs some repair work and some fresh paint at least in the room we stayed in. There were patches on the ceiling, and there were fine details missed like not ensuring all the rings of the upstairs curtains were hanging on the rod. We couldn’t use the TV during most of our stay and we had no WiFi. When we mentioned the Password didn’t work, we were told they needed upgrades. The complimentary breakfast was nice and offered variety. The kids certainly enjoyed the complimentary cookies!

Place was beautiful and historic. Nice grounds, walkable to winery and restaurant. Nice breakfast. Had to rely on front desk for ice. No fridge in room. Microwave was downstairs. Rooms were not well insulated for sound. Could hear loud occupants in adjacent room late at night.

It was lovely

The property looks even better in person. I would stay there again if in the area.

Cool place.

Poorly maintained, dirty pool, mediocre breakfast, bathroom sink didn't drain, no soap in the bathroom, staff not always at the desk, gym was one exercise bike. Looks much better in photos than in real life.

A real gem in the Williamsburg area. European atmosphere in a castle-like setting. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards.

Amazing location, wonderful people. We would live in the library if we could. Rooms are interesting with their themes, breakfast was top notch, pool was clean and inviting. Access to great cycling trails and they have a bike garage!! We will be back.

I appreciate the Wedmore in keeping with the historic theme but a small fridge and coffee maker hidden somewhere in the room would have been nice. The property, although clean, could use a maintenance staff. The shower head fell off on the first day. Sprinkler heads not trimmed and peaking out of ceiling drywall. Not a deal breaker but a few suggestions.

The hotel was in a great location for our trip. The staff was very friendly and always available. The room (especially the bathroom) could use some touching up and the floors were extremely creaky but overall, good choice.

Fantastic hotel! I loved the room and decor. It was all around a very beautiful hotel and location.

The Hotel now has a policy in which they do not clean rooms or provide clean towels unless you are staying more than three nights. You can of course ask for clean towels, but on one occasion they supplied only one set for two people. Breakfast isn’t served until 8:00AM, and at times you wait even longer until the breakfast area is opened up as they are still setting up. The Hotel and rooms are visually stunning, but it just seems understaffed.

This was an awesome place to visit. The winery, the on site restaurant made our trip exceptional. We were only 10 minutes from Williamsburg and all the great spots to visit there. Definitely push the button if you're on the fence!

The hotel was not in the best condition, with broken tiles in our bathroom and in the pool area that could pose a safety issue. The AC was not working well either (and seemingly not at all in a different room our kids stayed in). The front desk experience was friendly and helpful, but the attentiveness to the breakfast area needs to either make the coffee self-serve or make sure someone is down there to serve it. There is potential for this to be a great place to stay, but it just fell short of expectations.

The European tapestries and decor was unique and the overall experience was excellent. I requested a champagne bottle be left in the room before I arrived and the staff had it ready! Great experience and I’ll be coming back.

This place looks much nicer on line than in person. Beautiful scenic location and convenient to Williamsburg activities. For a place built in the late 80s, it feels older. Our suite (Cornwallis) was not very clean in the bathroom. Shower needs some attention. It had a musty stale odor that was unappealing and our bed wasn’t great—you could feel the springs in places. We did really enjoy the library downstairs and the pool. Some attention to the cracked tiles around the pool would make it nicer. Staff were helpful other than the breakfast crew. The front desk gave us a gift card and some wine after my husband complained about his treatment at breakfast which was very nice of them. I don’t think we would stay here again.

Beautiful grounds. Wonderful staff. Very accommodating. Will be back!

The room was beautiful, the setting in the winery next to woods was gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious. Exceeded expectations for a mom traveling with two kids!
