Holiday Inn Express Wilmington Porters Neck by IHG

The room was nice but the rug was wet the entire time. I thought at first it was from cleaning but the floor was wet throughout my visit. Even the tile floor was damp.

Staff was excellent. Very helpful accommodating us for an early arrival for a wake.

The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was really good with many options. The only downside was our room was supposed to be cleaned on the second day and while we did get clean towels, the housekeeper didn’t do anything else.

When we attempted to check in at 4, we were told that rooms were not ready. When we did get a room. we were told that the room we had booked through Expedia was unavailable (2 queen). We were given a king room. The hotel blamed Expedia and made no effort to correct. They brought us a roll-out bed. When we opened the bed, there were bugs on the bed. Management did eventually come up and offer us another room.

Not real clean and no hand soap in the bathroom, they had shampoo and body lotion instead by the sink. Nothing felt clean in the room, there was a greasy feel to everything.

Location I arrived to check in at 340 and was told my room wasn’t ready. I had to change for a wedding in the lobby bathroom and forego a shower. For $300 that is NOT ok. I arrived after the wedding and complained. I was given a $75 credit. $225 for a hotel room I didn’t get to use for what I booked it for is not ok. Overall the hotel was average. Dated and damp.

The absolute best customer service I have ever received at a hotel. We had an issue with a smell in our room the first night, but the front desk staff immediately found a solution.

Hotel was pretty dirty! Staff were super friendly! Hotel didn’t appear to old but if they don’t do something quick the place will need to turn in to a budget inn or something no one wants to stay in

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property, the location is great, convenient to a lot of things within walking distance. The staff is always nice and the room is clean and comfortable.

Very convenient location to shopping, restaurants, entertainment Hotel was very nice even had an inground pool, but we didn’t get to use it. Staff was friendly and courteous, but I found black mold all over our room in our air-conditioning vents in the bathroom stall, and when we requested a carried coffee pot for our room it seemed as if it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous user. It was disgusting. There were stains on some of the furniture and bits of. On the floor when we first entered our room everything else was nice. Continental breakfast was great except for trying to get items from the hot plate. There was no prop for the lid so you had to hold the lid with one hand and the tongs with the other. There’s nowhere to sit your plate if you’re holding your plate there’s no way to hold the lid up several people almost got burned trying to use it, including myself. We also requested a set of extra sheets for our bed and they were never sent.
