Checkout at 10:30 made it hard to enjoy the water park

Also, it snowed while we were there and in three days, nobody bothered to clear the walkways or the sidewalks outside the room. They simply threw salt down. Just hoping it would melt. All I did was make everything slushy. For how much you pay to be here, you would think they would take a little bit more pride in their appearance of their hotel and their name.

Great rooms and friendly staff, but a nightmare with the booking. I was hit with an unexpected charge because Expedia's information regarding a $600 deposit was completely inaccurate. Be very careful with the billing details if booking through a third party here.

The beds were uncomfortable. Lights in room, electrical was poor. Waterpark was rundown.

Clean,excellent customer service

temperature control was easy to operate and worked well. My elderly mother loved the bed - I did not (too hard). I purchase the upgrade and we were given the standard. Some things were new but still mixed in with old furniture/fixtures etc. We couldn't use the balcony due to all the wasps. There is supposed to be a sticker/signage on the patio door that tells you to step down but only two letters remain. I feel that is a safety issue.

Todo 10 de 10 con área boscosa para caminar área de golf todo muy bien

The room and the whole hotel environment feels very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful when you have an issue or a question. There's also connecting hallways which makes it easier than to walk outside. Overall my experience was great, and i hope to go back

Great report. Good food. Fun for the family. Could use some updating but it’s not run down like some places in the dells. Clean. Decently comfortable. The steak house. Well worth every penny

Nice stay we always go to Wilderness but this place is in a beautiful spot arround the river for families nice very clean rooms and area staff very friendly the breakfast but was super delicious the waitress Erica make our morning very nice and friendly I’ll really recommend Chula Vista

Very nice, a little rough with towels as the people working the towels by the pool seem moody. Food by the pool was decent. Lots of options for food and close to the strip downtown dells. Parking was super easy.

Condo was clean and indoor water park was small but good for a few hours. Parking is outrageous, the long walks just to get to Main building and the Waterpark from the condos was rediculous, we even had to walk outside from one building to another. The beds were hard as a rock and the water in the condo would never get hotter than a luke warm bath. Half the water park was freezing cold after you got out of the water. They had the air blowing from outside to inside. For the price you pay to stay at this resort, and this was even off season I'm not sure I would come back. We were there for a large gathering and the sit down dinner was to start at 5 but they weren't ready and that was no big deal but then at 5:30 when they brought the food out and we were one of the first ones in line, the mashed potatos were so cold the butter wouldn't even melt, and the chicken parmesian didn't have any sauce! We paid a lot of money to stay for just 2 nights but I guess I cannot compare it to the Kalahari.

The front exterior of the property was well kept, as well as some of the main public areas. The staff was also nice. The check in process was confusing with what seemed to be the main lobby being closed, with directions to go to another lobby - it took a while to discover a map to get us to the right place. Our room was in the north tower, where we saw water damage on the ceiling of the hall and to a lesser extent our room. Once in our room we decided to check out the patio - the door to which was nearly inoperable and clearly hadn't been maintained in a long time, which was also evidenced by the cracked chairs, covered in spiderwebs, on the patio itself. The room to one side of ours had its curtains open and the furniture was piled in front of the patio door - probably some sort of deep cleaning, but disconcerting. Many of the exterior lights seemed to not work or be in the process of burning out, making the area feel potentially unsafe at night. Due to the timing of our stay, many of the amenities were unavailable, which is our fault for not doing more research, but it would have been nice to know that going in. The only food we had on property was practically inedible, my partner had to spit out her sandwich. The night we arrived, there were very few people, so we didn't notice any issues with noise - the second day of our stay, a wedding party arrived and one group was placed in the room next to ours; my partner could hear them use the bathroom, including being able to hear someone zip their pants - not to mention every word of their conversation. We ended up checking out 16 hours early. The beds were also uncomfortable and we found several bugs/spiders in the room. Also the Internet was barely usable and the microwave was broken in some sort of a way that it would randomly let out a loud beep.

Very dated and thing we're not in great condition. Broken table in our room. Sink clogged. We had to call for towels. The front desk staff was very nice.
-
Our room had several minor annoyances (no fitted sheets on either bed, an untucked flat sheet was used in place), *none* of the knee-height outlets in the room worked which mean that none of the floor lamps worked. The hair dryer, in-room coffee maker and pull out couch were all that lowest-level-quality-while-still-being- there standard. More concerning was the couple security concerns we had - our deadbolt did not work (my husband was able to muscle it into place after several minutes of trying) and the secondary exterior doors to the hotel didn't lock at night (as is usually typical for other hotels). The water park was fine, but the entire establishment was fairly dated. I wouldn't tell you to cancel a visit if you'd already booked it, but if you asked for my recommendation for the Dells, I wouldn't say 'go to Chula Vista!'. We chose it because it was pet friendly, but the $40 a night fee makes it equally as expensive as a kennel.
-
This resort is just outside of the busy part of the Dells, only 10 minutes. Situated along the river, with its own water park and golf course, it's a great location. It also is the only larger resort to allow dogs, which was a big need for us. This is the second time we stayed here.
-
Best place to stay in the Dells. This place has everything you could ask for. Peace & quiet & just minutes from the hustle & bustle of the downtown area. Romantic place & very family oriented aswell.

There was nothing enjoyable about the room we couldn’t even get passes to the park so we didn’t want to pay 50 a person I’ve never stay at Chula and didn’t get bands so this def wasn’t the Chula Vista I stayed at many years ! You can tell it’s through a 3rd party everything was cheap couldn’t get anything extra blankets towels except… horrible stay and couldn’t get refunded Everything least tell people you have to pay for bracelets and parking and nothing not one thing is free or complimentary with the stay you get a room and that was it !
