This is a really interesting setup. The upstairs space above many of the Main Street businesses have been converted to hotel rooms with parking and entry from the back. It’s a cool way to make use of the space and far more interesting than stopping at a regular hotel on the highway. Also, loved that we could go out on the balcony over the street and talking to everyone at check-in. It was extremely hot when we were traveling, and the bathroom vented into the room (bathroom ceiling was several feet below the room ceiling). Plus, the AC vented into the hall, both of which made it hard to cool things off. If it wasn’t in the upper 90s/100 range, it might be a bit humid, but wouldn’t be hard to cool things off.

The room was clean and the hotel front desk check-in lady was very nice. The location was more than OK. But the air conditioner did not work properly and it was hot in the room! The hotel staff did provide us with a fan, but it did not work very well. They also offered us to go sleep in another room. I went in that room and it was just as hot. So we just stayed where our luggage already had been put down. And to get to the rooms, you have to walk down a hallway that the AC units are vented into and that hallway was like a sauna. The bed was comfortable and like I said the room was clean, but I don’t think it was worth the hundred dollars that I paid to sleep there. Actually, I really didn’t get any sleep because it was so hot.

Unique experience I forgot to inform staff that the commode was running a little all along

This hotel makes Fawlty Towers look like the Hilton. The lobby was like a Junkyard. The rooms had no windows. Beds, furniture and electrical equipment are junk. Bed linen smelt musty. We were locked out of both the room and building entrance door because of faulty keys. Afraid to take a shower because there is a sign warning you that water leaks through floor into shops below. We had no great expectations for this Hotel but the room rate charged is astronomical for the facilities provided.

It had a nice kitchen and my granddaughter was with us so it had one king bed and a sofa in a sitting room. We were very, very comfortable.. The room was clean. The next time I go to Yazoo city this is where I will stay. Thank you, Main Street hotel for giving us a great vacation.

Such a fun, funky property! There was no window and I thought we had a city view, but it was still nice.
