Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park
About Mammoth Hot Springs & Cabins - Inside the Park
Located 8km from the northern entrance, the beautiful, family hotel offers comfortable accommodation units and exquisite dining in a casual setting. The hotel was named after the steaming limestone terraces just above the hotel area, which feature bubbling hot springs, thunderous waterfalls, fascinating wildlife and steaming geysers. Elk, deer and bison are abundant around the colourful steaming terraces and hot springs. In the early days, the hotel's visitors began their park exploration at this hotel. Today, the hotel offers a warm welcome to summer and winter visitors. Elk routinely graze outside the hotel around the parade grounds of what was once Fort Yellowstone. Each room features satellite TV.

Overall, the location was good. It's close to Browning which gave more dining choices with better prices and better food. The lodging was okay. However, our room was ready several hours late. After driving all day to get there, it was a bit frustrating. The staff was friendly enough.

The cabin we stayed at was clean and included a private bathroom which was a must. Loved staying within YNP and not having to wait in line getting in. It was close to Gardiner where we ate dinner most nights. The staff was accommodating. It was a little tight with 3 people, 2 adults and 1 teenager, but we made it work.

We did enjoy our front deck, with a cocktail watching all the whistlepigs.

I was nervous about staying in a "cabin" within the park but the room was lovely, well attained, and comfortable. We had a nice sleep in a peaceful space. The only downside is the bathrooms/showers were a few steps outside of our cabin but they were easy to access and they were clean.

From check-in with Halley through our entire stay there wasn't a thing lacking. The entire facility is clean and wonderful.
-
Beautiful little room that was the most quiet of any location I stayed in the park. I love that. It was within walking distance of Mammoth Terrace.
-
Beautifully renovated gem of a building — both immaculate and respectful of the original structure. Location within the park is a perfect place to launch a trip through Yellowstone. Bonus points for having a couple of free EV slow-chargers.

They need better selections for dinner.

In the park, close to Mamouth Hot Springs, restaurant was very good.

Rooms are too small. Quite place and clean.

Greatest hotels I've stayed in! The hotel was immaculate, clean, in great shape. Staff was very friendly, helpful. The bed is very comfortable, best sleep on our whole trip. Food in the restaurant was very good. These accommodations felt like we were living in luxury yet price was very reasonable even less than staying in a city along the freeway.

Great location. Restaurant was fine. Hotel has a nice gift shop. Theres was no air conditioning and no television. Also the plumbing in the bathroom was complicated and pretty sure top showerhead was not getting full hot water.

Would stay here again. It’s nice to be in the park to start your early morning adventures.

Amazing stay in the park! We will be back

Love the staff.they’re all very nice people.but I am sure the housekeeper didn’t change the sheet and clean the bed cause there were still so many hairs and some disgusting things left on the sheet (under the quilt so it couldn’t be ours)

You are across the street from the hot springs and a fantastic 10 km (6.2 miles) hiking trail. The hotel is beautiful. We loved the decor and the history. We had supper across the street at the restaurant, which was delicious, and breakfast at the buffet, which was only so-so — cold eggs, no bowls for yogurt, etc. But everything else was phenomenal. We loved it!
