What is Engine MCP?
Engine MCP connects your Engine account to the AI assistant you already use. Your assistant can search hotels, book a room, look up, cancel or shorten a booking, check support cases and search the Help Center. Bookings follow your company travel policy.
Which AI assistants work with Engine MCP?
Engine publishes tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor. Each assistant gets the tools Engine has approved for it, and the list can change over time.
Does Engine MCP follow my company travel policy?
Yes. Policy is checked on every rate. Rates that need approval, or that policy blocks, open in Engine instead of being booked in chat.
Can my assistant book without asking me?
Engine tells your assistant to show you the total and cancellation terms and get your yes before it books, and to show you the refund before it cancels or shortens a stay. Your assistant also asks before running those actions, unless you choose "Always allow" for them. We recommend you don't choose Always allow for booking, cancelling, or shortening.
What can my assistant see?
Only what your own Engine account can see. It acts as you, signed in with your Engine account.
Can Engine MCP book flights or rental cars?
Not yet. Engine MCP covers hotels today. Flights and cars are booked in Engine.
Can I book for someone else or for a group?
Not from your assistant yet. Engine MCP books one room and one guest for the signed-in member. Bookings for other travelers, or with more rooms or guests, finish in Engine.
