The Alonzo Ward Hotel

Unique property. Well maintained. Staff great!

We loved our stay. The hotel still has the feel of the old time granduer but very updated & special. The room was very quiet; the bed very comfortable; and the bathroom large with a great shower. Checking in the lady was very nice. I’m sorry we didn’t feel any ghosts. We recommend the hotel highly.

Room was large and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful Funky smell in the hallways, Wifi set to kick guests off in less than a day and weak signal, room smelled a bit at first, bathroom counter was TINY

The onsite Italian Restaurant is top notch.

Room was excellent. Bed and shower very good. The online check in at the desk did not work and attendant was slow to respond. Once he returned to the desk he did well. He acknowledged that the automated check in system was not working well.

Everything was perfect. We will look to stay at the Alonzo every time we’re in town going forward. We loved Roma, the restaurant attached to the hotel. Fantastic and authentic Italian food.

This was one of the most fabulous places too stay. The beds are so comfortable, you also have a parking garage that is protected by cameras and you are right down town on Main Street so you can walk to breakfast and shopping etc. We will definitely stay again.

Had a nice sitting area outside our room which you could have coffee and get ice. Very quiet and peaceful. Such a historical place, which we were very pleased with the ambience. Just refresh your linens and bedspread.

I love how they’ve updated everything but kept the old style. The bathtub was deep enough and the room was super clean. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful as well.

It was beautifully restored but with the necessary modern elements. I had to move the coffee pot because I couldn’t plug it in behind the dresser. The dresser was too heavy to move, so the coffee pot was plugged into an outlet in the bathroom. A very minor inconvenience ? I understand that there are residential units on the floors above us and we could smell cigarette smoke in the hallways, but not once in the room. Not sure if that would be an issue if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke

The only negative issue was the window, it would have been nice to overlook the street but it overlooked a side parking lot. Enjoyed the stay will stay there again.

Very impressive with the old mixed in with the new. With not much open on a Sunday evening, the price should have been discounted.
