The hotel was very grubby, breakfast was only served 6-9am. The staff were not helpful. I can’t recommend this hotel. Awful.

Outstanding, warm, friendly staff from all aspects associated with the hotel. From check-n where you are warmly welcomed it is absolutely clear that the staff appreciates your staying at this hotel and do everything they can to ensure you feel welcomed and your needs are met. Breakfast is simple but more than sufficient and of quality with the breakfast manager actively making sure you get everything you need for your breakfast. Housekeeping and grounds crew members are also very welcoming and friendly and keep the rooms and property clean and neat respectively. This hotel is an excellent reasonably priced place to stay while you visit Aiken and the surrounding environs!

Angel at the front desk was wonderful. She was so pleasant, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was average, not bad and not great. The lady responsible for preparing the breakfast was so personable. Overall, the staff was great and they all deserve a raise. The hotel is a good value for the money.

Almost everything, except the sausages, was full of carbohydrates… and I am diabetic… so, no sugars…

We stayed on the third floor, Montara did say the hotel was bought out by Marriott and renovations would be starting very soon. The hotel is in great need of repair…the sprinkler head in the bathroom was completely rusted, as was some broken tile on top of the shower wall and the popcorn ceiling had cracks in it over the bed. Water damage was very noticeable in the lobby ceilings and there was a slight odor when we entered the hotel. Air conditioning worked perfectly, bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows! Breakfast was underwhelming… the cheese wasn’t melted inside the omelets, the pork sausage didn’t taste very good, they did have potatoes and waffles, but seemed low on the amount of food available. The location is terrific, near lots of restaurants, Hobby Lobby, Lowes, grocery stores.
