I really liked this property. It was an old motor lodge, refurbished. The staff was great, and there were no complaints. It was quiet and very quaint. If you're going to stay in Albany, Georgia, I don't know why you wouldn't stay here. The immunities are fine. The pool was adequate—October is nearly here. The pub was fine; the people were very nice, and the food was very good. What else would you say? I think it was just a good experience all around. If I'm in Albany, I'm definitely staying there. Yeah, we'd definitely go back. If I had to go to Albany, I would.

Loved Merry Acres! The rooms were nicely updated and there was a great pub onsite. The staff was also very friendly. I highly recommend.

It was a ok stay

Too much trash outside on the property. They were put in bags, but not disposed of. The AC was not cool enough in Room 153. Other than that, everything was fine.

Shower was not clean, pee stains on the toilet, pube hair on the sheets, blood stain on the sheets. Overall looked like someone tried to clean but their definition of clean was way to low and lazy.

Check in was smooth and pleasant. Parking in the area my room was located was very congested and difficult to maneuver. First entry of the room there’s a proper that hits you, not sure if it’s mold or just the room sitting up closed for a while. The air conditioner “worked “ but did not keep the room cool. Hard time getting the television to work also.

*There were only three small coffee pods in the tray by the room’s coffeemaker, and only one of the pods was labeled. *The ice machine nearest to our room did not work. *Two remotes to the tv. No written instructions. Couldn’t watch the college football games. Staff came but couldn’t get them to work either. * The floor was quite slippery in a few spots. Found a note on the floor, which may have been a previous occupant’s, but I don’t think the floor was mopped before I checked in. I’m not certain. Perhaps staff dropped the note as they were cleaning. *There was one deadbolt on the front door, but the metal security bar at the top of the door had been removed. There were no other locks for safety. *Only two washcloths and two hand towels in the bathroom when I checked in. Staff provided more per my request. All the towels appeared to be threadbare. *The split air conditioner was unusually noisy. The main building looks charming, but the King with Sofa-bed room (can’t recall the name) was not well maintained. I tried to call the front desk, but no one ever answered. I could only leave a message. No one followed up with me. Can’t review the breakfast buffet because I didn’t use that amenity.

Pool was closed and surrounding outside areas were dirty. Disappointed! Ice machine was located in another building a long way from our room. We arrived a little before checkin time and although the room was ready they charged an extra $25 for “Early Check In”! NOT COOL!

The floors were sticky, the bed was uncomfortable (cheap itchy linens), the sink was clogged and wouldn't drain, the breakfast was gone way before the breakfast ending time (6-9 but gone by 7:30 and not replenished), there were no napkins, spoons, coffee, coffee cups, creamer, plates, or any food available until I asked for those things. Then I got bagels, not the hot breakfast advertised. The pool was dirty, the room door stuck, and the staff seemed uninterested and not the least but apologetic. I waited at least 15 minutes for someone to return to the desk for checkout.

Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable . Easy and convenient onsite parking. Enjoyed the stay there.

The breakfast was wonderful and the recently renovated rooms were very comfortable and quiet. It was in a safe and walkable neighborhood and the feel of being in a unique and historic hotel was wonderful. Had to ask several times for the correct number of towels but the response was positive and timely.

The room was clean. Parking was right front if the door. Would stay again.

I just needed a place to stay and get some good sleep, and traveling late from SE Georgia 3.5 hrs to Albany and arriving very late. Jason was very friendly and accommodating and made me feel welcome again, as I got coffee, Sunny D and a granola bar for a casual Continental Breakfast. They have cereal, danishes, and waffle maker as well, but no eggs or sausage. Need more protein products aside from milk, yet selections still adequate for a light breakfast. Made arrangements with work to stay and Expedia app on the road helped immensely. What I like is that they're separate building units, and not all compacted together. Makes it more unique compared to other motels. The room was nice and spacey with vinyl flooring. No carpets. Bed and shower were great. Water gets warm very quickly in stall. AC was set at a nice 72 degrees and pillows were comfy. Would recommend this place if ever in the Albany area. Only 5 minutes from downtown.
