Very clean TV didn't work (No signal)

My son found a lighter under the bed in our room. There was no soap to wash your hands. No sheets/pillows/blankets available at the desk for the pull out couch.

I found several roaches in my room and when I notified the staff they moved my to a different room on a different floor. The new room had roaches as well. I cancelled my reservation and moved to another hotel.

Room: TV did not work. They gave me old batteries said try these. They did not work. Gave me more Batteries when I asked to switch room. We agreed to stay in room. We had to reprogram TV for it to work. WE had to do all this. Not Hotel staff. Rooms had black mold and dirt around shower stalls and walls. WTH. A good cleaning brush and cleaning PERSON could fix this. No soap on counter to use? WTH Staff: did NOT know anything. Stated it was his 2nd night at job. NO VENDING machines at all. Smoke detector went off halfway through the night beeping for new Batteries. NO Freaking cares given by staff. Batteries are an issue evidently. No sleep in this Ungodly Indian forsaken Motel. Give it America and sleep in your vehicles. Save money and time. Shower at a Truck stop.

I booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had an indoor pool. I swim several times a week and wanted to continue my workout routine while I was traveling. I had originally planned for an outdoor pool but when the weather predictions called for rain, I opted for an indoor pool. What the hotel shows/tells you is deceptive. This is nothing more than a kiddy pool, 3 feet at its deepest, very small and made smaller by the bench that runs around the entire pool. I could not swim without hitting my toes on the bottom of the pool, and that was only about 6 strokes, diagonally. I thought I might try water walking but the water is too shallow to provide much resistance and the pool so small that I could walk an entire lap in 25 or 26 steps! Worse yet, the pool was ugly and the peeling paint made it appear poorly maintained.

It was well priced. Previous reviews suggested it needed work but our room was very clean, renovated and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Our first run smelled very funky from the aircon. We were able to change rooms without issue and the 2nd one was fine.

Nothing King size bed was broke it caves toward the middle. pull out couch was dirty and broken floors left our feet black pool was not clean and very cold. 4th floor smelt like natural gas when you walked out the room. Woke up very congested from AC not being cleaned properly nor the room. Let staff know when checking out.

The staff was excellent. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to all the people manning the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also tasty and varied, we especially liked the waffles. The prices were jacked up because of the UGA graduation in Athens. We paid over $200 a night and stayed for 3 nights., Crazy prices for that hotel. I realize they did it because they could and it was fully booked. It is also over 6 miles from Athens and there's nothing nearby except for a Sonic.

Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was polite and accommodated a room change on arrival to get 2 beds. There was a bad odor on one side of the hotel. Fortunately, my room was on the other side. There were homeless ppl roaming the parking lot almost every time I was outside.

It is now my goal to use this hotel whenever I attend the state-level GMEA conference in January, as it is relatively close to the main venue. But it's comfortable, clean, and easily accessible. Because I'm moving through tasks that keep me in and out of the hotel most of the day, I am to complete them quickly, with minimal distractions and interruptions. The staff is helpful and available. All staff have been able to offer advice on food, location, security, amenities, and common-sense tips for staying at that hotel/motel. Dream/Sleep Inn is my choice of hotel for travel to Athens.
