The room was just remodeled so that was ok. The amenities are what upset me. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. Its like it was made in the microwave. The pool has way too much chlorine which made my eyes burn after 10 minutes of being in the room. The dining area chairs were all ripped. The biggest issue is its located in the back of a liquor store which seems to be thw hangout spot for alot of people.

I loved the hotel; they are remodeling, but our room was super clean—everything looked brand new—and there was zero noise from outside. I loved it.

First off my room was not clean, apparently they have an every other day turndown policy that we were not told about. The outside of the hotel had dog poop on the sidewalk. It was barely any place to park due to construction. The outside of the hotel was a mess. I would not stay at this hotel again if it was free. Awful!!

The pool was cold but it was nice to have a pool option and the hot tub. They also have a gym

This place was cleaner than most hotels. No weird smells either. The guy at the front desk was very personable and welcoming

It was a nice place -

The rooms were filthy. Our shoes stock to the floor.

Not the hotels fault but room across from us had some sort of party and were screaming all night. I had to call reception at 2am to handle. Took over an hour for them to quiet down. And room above us were stomping around all night. So zero sleep. I’m guessing people have a lot of parties here as college town :/ lesson learned for next trip to Athens. Pay a little more for another hotel college students can’t afford for parties lol.

The property seems really nice, the room was definitely comfortable and spacious, though the issue is that the property is being renovated and a lot of the work in progress was visible

I found a bug under my wife pillow, it wasn't a bed bug, however that means the funigation is not performed very often. Also the pool (which is an inside pool) was super cold and I had to ask to want of the employees for towels because they didn't have it at the moment.

Check in was very easy. We had one of renovated rooms, so it was super clean and nice, an all renovated bathroom.. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choices. The only drawback was we could hear our neighbors on each side of us.

Even though there is construction going on I did not find it invasive or intrusive. The room was a good size and very clean. I would stay again.

BAD MATINANACE
-
Double charged even though I didn’t stay. Construction, paper thin walls, pool filthy, hot tub out of order, sketchy staff and area.

The property is under renovation. I stayed in a newly renovated room and it was clean and comfy new everything . I have never had any problems with Wingate. Very friendly and helpful clerk.
