Extended Stay America Select Suites - Cleveland - Avon

The place is undergoing renovations. We’ve been there before & it was great, but it’s been sold 2 times since. I think in a month or so it will be back to it’s usual standards. We’ve always enjoyed that rooms have a full size fridge w/ freezer & not a mini-fridge. Unseasonably warm this time, but air conditioning worked Very well! Looking forward to returning next year to see all the improvements.

The bed was not good. It was stinky like there was dried fish and insects. The bed was not very comfortable.

Tv didn't work...phone didn't work...door wouldn't lock...

The staff was nice but the facilities are dated and poorly ran.

No toilet paper and all they could supply us was a 1/2 roll saw bugs in cabinets when looking for paper and tissues and general lack of cleaning throughout

The place was clean. There was no amenities none.

Nothing i checked out early Everything. Bed was uncomfortable, room was dirty, kitchenette was barely functional, bugs, and the bathroom was dingy

Nothing to like Suspicious location

We checked in between 5:30 and 6. We went to our room. When you opened the door, there was a nightstand or some type of furniture in front of the door, a milk just on the ground, and other things strewn around the room. There was food on the top of the fridge. I thought the clerk gave us the wrong room. It wasn't. She said she had just come on shift, that there wasn't a maid available, and that there were no other rooms left. We had to scramble to find a different hotel. I had packed a cooler with the intent of cooking. It cost more for our 3-night stay because we had to eat out all weekend. I will never book with this chain again. I wish I had taken a photo of that room!

Close enough to stores Too much freeway noise!

Room had no additional amenities outside the bare minimum - bed, fridge, working sin/bathroom. No soap, a bare minimum of towels. About the only thing that felt clean was the bed and fridge, floor clearly had crumbs along the baseboard throughout the room and bathroom. Hallway smelled like musty cigarettes despite multiple "no smoking" signs, room did not smell much better possibly due to smell from hallway leaking in. Door had a problem shutting/opening even after lock was disengaged, essentially had to put a shoulder to the door to get it open. A full bag of trash sat outside another tenants room for a 16 hour period of time overnight, leading me to think that nobody was bothering to check the hallways or the facilities outside of regular cleaning hours. Positives - the bed was clean, other tenants were friendly, felt like nobody cared so you could do whatever you want during your stay. Take that as you will.

The location Exhaust fan didn’t work in the bathroom. Floor was sticky and blinds. Smelled like cigarette smoke. Staff was hard to get ahold of

Place sucked. It was like a ghetto hotel in a nice town

Overall not a horrible experience, the staff were nice and helpful and the room was okay. There were definitely some dirty spots in the room, especially in the drawers and under the bed. The entire hotel also smells like cigarettes and the room itself didnt smell very good either.

First we arrived and noone at desk. After about 10 minutes she came walking in from the parking lot where she had just git back from getting food. No problem we all have to eat. After a snippy discussion about if we had a reservation she checked us in. Walked into our room and it was so disgusting, it smelled so bad like piss it was nauseating. So i sprayed with room spray.The beds were so hard The floor would have befn more comfortable. But we were only there for the night. Thank god. The floors were disgusting as well. There was no remote for the tv. Hubby had to go 3 times to get 3 different remotes ( none worked) so we just went to sleep and left at 6 am will never book at an extended stay again. First and last time for us.
