Wyndham Avon

After checking in I could not open the room written on the card envelope. I went back down to have the card set up a second time and it failed to work again. I went back down and a different front desk attendant asked my name to look up my reservation and discovered the wrong room and floor was written on the envelope. It was very inconvenient as I had a cart full of luggage to haul back and forth and the “wrong” room was very far from the front desk.

The stay was great! We actually visit the area every year but never knew this place was this close to family! We didn’t have any issues and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was very nice, clean and the a/c definitely worked. Only issue we had was the shower was a little tricky to turn on but once we got it it was good. Will definitely return again.

Great location. However, the room that I prepaid for was not available when I arrived.

The hotel doesn’t look terribly dated, I really liked the shower and the water pressure. Breakfast was reasonable priced and the food was decent. Quicker and cheaper than going to a restaurant. The TVs are old, no option to stream Netflix, etc. The ice machines on every floor are out of order, so you have to go to the bar to get ice. One of the two elevators were out of order, not a terrible wait for it to arrive but still added to the annoyances that existed. There’s a charging station in the room but it doesn’t work and the outlet built into the lamp doesn’t work. No options for USB ports. Bring your own wall cubes to plug into the wall outlets. The atm in the lobby was also out of order. I’d pay $150 a night but no more

Okay. Not worth the pgice

This is our 4th time staying and just not what we are used to getting from this property. We stay here because it’s the closest hotel to family that we visit quite often. The room we had this time was a strange layout I think it was for handicapped accessible not a deal breaker, but the walls were stained, the molding was coming off in areas, and we only had one remote control yet two tvs. I tend to head to bed early and watch tv in bed and my husband was watching out in the lounge area we had to share the remote. The worst part however was that there were ants and we hadn’t brought any food in. We would have asked to switch rooms at this point but I know they were booked solid we knew we were stuck with what we had. Shower water pressure was awful as well and the lights in the bathroom flickered. Like I said we stay here for convenience but we might stay next time the town over in West Lake only an extra 5 min. The property and area are lovely but the rooms are in desperate need of a refresher and facelift.

Booked the room for my sister. I am out of the country. Room was paid in full in advance. They would not let her check in without a credit card. I talked to the hotel and offered to give them my credit card info over the phone. They refused. After 20 minutes of arguing and threatening to let Expedia know they refused to honor the reservation they capitulated but at that point they were acting like that was their suggestion and I was being uncooperative. Immature, petty and incomparable.

The room we had was great! Two bedrooms, two king beds, and very spacious. Good rate for the space and the time of year.

Also the shower curtain was missing. The maintenence man took care of the curtain and brought us extra towels. He was the best. I brought these shortfalls up to the shift supervisor and they credited me for a 50% refund.

The public areas and the room were clean and attractive. The A/C in our room was on full blast and none of the controls were operable. It was impossible to adjust. It felt like a walk in refrigerator making sleep difficult. We tried calling the front desk but both phones were broken. When we reached the desk via our cell phone to request help none was offered. I would not recommend this hotel.

We arrived late at night, so we only used our room for sleeping.

Our room was definitely in need of a facelift. We stayed in room 434 and had several issues. The carpet and furniture were pretty worn and stained, the tables in the room were sticky, the bathroom sink was cracked and did not drain well, the bathroom door was warped and would not shut, the bathroom was not stocked with toilet paper, and the rolling door to the closet was off it’s track and very difficult to open. We also had a hard time getting the room door to lock. Overall, not to the standards expected for a 3 1/2 star Wyndham.

Everything was very clean, very convenient location, lots of restaurants and stores near by. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again once the road construction is done.

In my room the thermostat did not work nor dod the fan in the bathroom. I reported both of these to the front desk.

There were no working ice Machine on 3 floors. I was able to get ice at the bar right away .. and with a smile.

The carpet in the room was dark and dirty with many old spot, and the shower had black mold growing in one of the corners.

Stay here often, it's very nice and in a fantastic location for me. Only issues I had this time were noisy people above us (after 12 am, NOT a property issue at all), a very weak shower head and the cell/wifi service was not working properly. But, I will absolutely stay here again!
