Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bakersfield, CA

This is barely one step up from a motel. The pictures are NOT what you get. The staff was nice but that doesn’t make a difference when the rooms are horrible.

Room was clean. Had a loud light fixture that I had to hear all night but need was comfortable.

We have stayed here numerous times times and usually satisfied. However the room we were assigned had very poor bathroom. The tub was in great need of being replaced. It was in dire need of being repaired and painted along with the wall being stained. We had to be assigned to another room where it was a little better bout also needed to be refurbished. Addditionally tv in sitting room did not work. No picture

Breakfast was great. This is the only hotel I've stayed at for a long time with a full Breakfast. If you are traveling with children it could possibly save you some big bucks. They serve potatoes sausage eggs waffles cold cereal toast coffee juice yogurt fresh fruit and all the trimmings. Honestly a family of 4 could save 80 dollars over eating out. Im impressed. The staff is very helpful and courteous. They helped me print a very important document and saved me a bunch of time. I will be making them my go to hotel while in Bakersfield.

Nothing The bath had mold on the floor of the tub and they put a bath mat so you can’t see it !

Great hotel, clean rooms and modern bathrooms. We enjoyed having the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Will book again

Clean rooms

The location was convenient. The AC cooling was good (which is the problem of most of the hotels) Unfortunately, there were many things that made our two-night stay disappointing. The hotel looked much better in the photos than it did in person. The property felt old, poorly maintained, and had a gloomy atmosphere. The front desk experience was not welcoming at all, as the person (guy) checking us in did not smile or make any effort to make us feel welcome. The elevator felt unsafe and gave a strong jerk every time it stopped. The room keys frequently did not work, which was extremely frustrating, and we even had to return to the reception once because the key wouldn’t work. We stayed in a One-Bedroom King Suite, and the room had a strange smell as soon as we entered. It looked old and dated, the room was quite compact, and our window faced the parking lot. The lighting was uncomfortable, and there was no convenient phone charring switch near the bed. The bathroom was very small, and the towels were old and worn. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers were also empty. There was also a Bible in the room, which personally felt unnecessary and somewhat out of place for a hotel room. The coffee machine was very basic, and overall, the room did not feel like what I expected from a Country Inn & Suites by Radisson property. The “free breakfast” was the biggest disappointment. The selection was extremely basic..mini muffins, basic cereals, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits, limited jam, coffee, and a DIY waffle station. We stayed for two days, and the breakfast was practically the same both mornings with very little variety. I would definitely not recommend paying extra for the breakfast. Overall, the property needs significant maintenance and updating. It did not live up to the expectations created by the photos or the hotel brand.

Friendly staff

Nothing Checked in at 3pm and left at 8pm after dinner. Nothing was like the pictures on line. Dirty nasty towels were stained bedsheets had a dirty color not white. Just look nasty overall.

the whole situation, very dirty out side pigeon shit out side my window everywhere, just bad vibe about the whole situation, I walked in the lobby to check in, the worst smell, I got to my room thinking the smell would not be in my room, still the same smell. the room in the picture I was supposed to get was not the room, worst hotel experience in had in many years
