Homewood Suites by Hilton Bakersfield

Everything was good. Food, clean, big room. Staff was ok but they denied that there was a huge noise in our room. Sounded like a train. We figured out after a couple hours that it was the air conditioner. Made a big rumbling noise so we turned it as low as we could but it was hot outside so had to have it on some. We will stay there again though. The room was so nice.

Love the hospitality and cleanliness. However, there's slow drainage in the bathtub and it's weird hearing toilet flushing through the wall from the next room. Other than that, the property is in a awesome location.

Quiet area. Room is very spacious. Location is near shopping and restaurants. Perfect for a long stay

For my family that stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen however, only 1 spoon and 4 forks was supplied.

LOVED THEIR KITCHEN AREA AND IT WAS FULLY STOCKED!

The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the amenities were more than expected. Free breakfast as well as dinner. The family was tired after a day long drive and the dinner was a lifesaver since we were all too tired to go out to a restaurant. Staff was polite and helpful. Thank you for a nice stay. My only complaint was $75 dog fee for one night stay. I thought it was steep compared to other hotels we stayed at.

The breakfast was great, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the entire facility was clean, comfortable, and a wonderful staff.

Front desk staff named Nicole (if I’m not mistaking her name) was very uninterested in her job. No hellos, no smiles, no greetings or whatsoever except for a very bland “how can I help you” but she was not very helpful. I requested to be close to a specific friend because it is her wedding day and we are part of the bridesmaid party that needed to help her get ready. At check in and after politely reiterating my request for a room close to the bride, Nicole gave me a room very far from the bride and stated that since I’m not a “Hilton member” I couldn’t be accommodated. However another friend of mine who is male (not part of the bridal party) and who checked in less than an hour after me, was automatically asked by Nicole if he wanted to be close to the bride, so his room was a lot closer than mine. Other than this unpleasant interaction with Nicole, the room was at least clean and nice. Breakfast was also nice. But I would hope they train Nicole better moving forward because front desk staff can leave a very lasting impression.

Breakfast was decent I booked this hotel because it states on their website that they offer an airport shuttle which I found out was not true. The front desk people were polite and cordial but did not offer anything to correct/ compensate for this error. When I tried to contact the email address on their website…the rmail address did not even work. When I finally got the right email address, the manager only offered to give me “discounted rate” the next time I book their place again or offered to purchased me points. I informed her that I have no plans on visiting Bakersfield again and would like to have a voucher in the amount I paid the uber to the airport ($28)that I can use for a stay in another Homewood Suites in a different place and have not heard back from her again.

Love the location of this hotel is pretty close to CSUB and it has a pool and a great breakfast! They just need a jacuzzi! 😉

Our room was good for our stay lobby was nice and staff at breakfast were helpful , nicely equipped and clean however truely outdated needs remodeling peeling wallpaper and smelled of old smoke we had a back room in last hallway baby was crying in a room across the hall with apparently no help or care very uncomfortable , dogs barking in another room early am , elevator was clunky and shaky I think some improvements would improve this nice place tremendously. Super nice area and neighborhood close to stores and convenient
