Residence Inn by Marriott Bakersfield West

Big rooms, friendly at incheck. To pay for parking.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at; it is clean, the service is excellent, and the staff are great. Whenever I visit Bakersfield, I will book here again without hesitation.

Very clean and fine. All you need there is in the apartment. (Kitchen, laundry comfortable beds). Parking!! Close to Hollywood star walk away Hollywood is not that good neighborhood so we just went and come back with the car

We had a little screw up, as we pre-extended our stay one night prior to our reservation. I called the property directly and they confirmed. The next morning they called to tell me I had to check out and change rooms. I specifically told them when I called that I needed to stay in the same room for the 2 nights, and my second room needed to accommodate 2 adults and 4 kids. The hotel screwed up and released my 1 bedroom suite and it was now over booked, but the hotel figured it out and made sure we had the space we booked and needed by giving us 2 connecting rooms. They made a not so good situation Great!! A little hiccup but they fixed the issue without any problems. I stay here often visiting family and will continue to stay here!! Great place and Great hotel associates to make your stay pleasant!!

The room was great until the sink dropped to the floor while washing the dishes. Also I was stuck by a staple sticking out of the chair that caused bleeding and the arms of the desk chair came off. All of this was disappointing and surprising. But Moon and Angela was a great help to my husband.

Exceptional

My day went absolutely awesome. Property is wonderful. Extremely quiet very clean sheets are clean towels are clean. Great water pressure. The pool was awesome. Workout room was great. I have laundry on site. The staff was excellent front desk managers down to housekeeping maintenance. Absolutely excellent property most certainly will be returning to this location so if you’re out there in the Bakersfield or surrounding areas looking for somewhere quiet to stay, you won’t be disappointed stay here.

The room was very clean and fresh. The fitness room had a few machines that didn't work, but you were still able to do a workout. Front staff was very welcoming and nice. Breakfast was amazing! Kids loved the waffle maker! The ladies from the kitchen were really nice and were keeping up with the. I will definitely be booking here again.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, quiet location, lovely pool and patio.

The staff went above and beyond. They even bailed me out with a fresh razor when I needed one. Those little touches really make a difference. Everything felt clean, updated, and welcoming. I’m honestly tempted to just move in! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Exceptional

Everything was great Our room, king studio, had AC blasting right into our bed. Couldn’t get good nights sleep.

Nice hotel with great rooms for families

Exceptional

We had a suite but the bedroom section only had one tiny AC vent so we would have the living room area freezing and the bedroom too warm the whole time. Also, over five nights stay we had our room serviced once. One day they tried to come in while we were showering. The other 3 days they never tried that we know of.

It is in a safe location that is close to numerous restaurants and shopping. The fitness room needs to service its equipment. Numerous machines were out of service.

It’s very clean and well laid out, the gym is really nice and has lots of equipment, the pool was enjoyed by my kids. Breakfast was great, the rooms were huge and felt perfect for a family of 5 staying here 3 nights. I would definitely stay here again. They charge $10/night for parking which seems ridiculous cause it’s not like they have a closed parking lot or valet and they don’t take your vehicle license plate info. The breakfast area needs a carafe of water out.

Our 8 year old was hospitalized the day before the trip…at valley children’s hospital and the hotel couldn’t make an exception to postpone the reservation. Not family friendly.
