The hot tub was large and they did a great job of remodeling the old property! They were out of a lot of the drinks and liquors on their menu. The service was great and they tried to make up for it. It was also very hard to get an uber from there so make sure you get the Bardstown taxi number.

The hotel itself was very nice. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good but the bar staff could not make a Long Island Tea (?). Rooms are entirely overpriced. We were expecting to see the speakeasy, which was one reason we booked the hotel, only to be told it was closed for a “private event” what??! If the price of the room includes access to the speakeasy then why is the hotel hosting “private” events?? Very disappointing

Beautiful hotel! Very clean and nice room with coffee maker and steamer. The restaurant is also surprisingly good. Will visit again if I have chance.

Very pleasant surprise! If your in bourbon country or headed to lexington... amazing place to stay for the night, chill by the pool. All around surprise how cool it was

The only issue was lack of staff. We would find garbage and dinnerware in the morning leftover from the night before. One morning there was one server for the entire bar and restaurant. Not acceptable.

Exactly what I wanted … boutique hotel/motel with excellent service and a great restaurant & bar. The room was cool, bed was super comfortable… just an excellent short stay.

The hotel was surprisingly modern and very well updated. The room was clean and state of the art. We very much enjoyed our stay while doing the Bourbon trail.

Loved our stay at the The Trail. Unfortunately the speakeasy was not open and we did not use the rejuvenation room because we were not told it was complimentary till end of our stay. Rooms were very comfortable and the food was excellent. Great selection of spirits and cocktails. I would definitely return but would come on a weekend when more is open

Great property! Very clean, well designed place with nice rooms, many amenities, plenty of things to do after a long day. Bar has great selection of beverages and restaurant is excellent.
