Perfect location. Clean with great breakfast buffet and bar.

First upon our arrival The front desk clerk starts to almost processes us and then walks away and goes into another room for five minutes. We had reserved two king suite rooms. The rooms are very small, old, and outdated. In each of the rooms, we turned on lamps and lights and they flickered the lamp had to be turned off never stopped flickering. I went to take a shower and noticed there was absolutely no washcloth in our room or my daughter‘s room. I tried to use the phone inside the room to call the front desk. The phone doesn’t work. I used my cell phone to call the front desk and ask for someone to bring some washcloths after sometime. Someone arrived at the door with hand towels. I gave up and took a shower and washed with a big hand towel not fun. They gave a room closest one to the elevator, room 209 can hear people talking going in and out of the elevator kept me up for a while. Wake up the next morning, go down to eat breakfast. We paid to eat the breakfast all three of us. We noticed there was only one blueberry muffin. We asked the person working in the buffet if they could bake 2 more blueberry muffins. blueberry muffins never came out and we split 1 muffin in two. Then we proceeded to check out at the front desk. We let them know about the washcloth issue. They said well we’re just out of washcloths and acted like it was no big deal. I will never stay at the Cook Hotel in Baton Rouge ever again.

It was good. Nice place, nothing really special other than a phenomenal location.
-
Convenient to LSU campus. New TVs were installed but not operating. Staff was clueless about what to do. Very young and inexperienced.
-
The King suite was nice overall. There are some deferred maintenance issues, particularly paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling due to a lack of ventilation.

We have stayed at the Cook for camp five summers now. This is the first time I saw service levels lowered. The staff are great but this year we didn’t have room cleaning, towel service or trash removed for the four nights we stayed. Also, I have noticed the breakfast menu hasn’t changed in five years and can get a little boring. I understand this is the only hotel in Baton Rouge that is run by the alumni so I hope they receive this feedback that their hotel is no longer price competitive for the services they offer and I hope they can take a look at that. The staff is wonderful, and this is not a criticism of them. It is more the direction that they receive to run the place.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were all very friendly and helpful!

Rooms are hot

The rooms here are easily a 10 out of 10. "Amazing" doesn't even fully do them justice; they are immaculate, incredibly spacious, and beautifully styled with a high-end feel that makes you look forward to coming back and relaxing after a busy day. Everything felt fresh, meticulously clean, and designed for comfort. When you are ready to unwind, the outdoor pool area is excellent. While the pool itself is on the smaller side, the surrounding courtyard area is gorgeous. Dotted with lush palms and classic Louisiana charm, it is a truly beautiful, quiet space to sit back and soak up the sunshine. One important tip for future travelers concerns the dining: the breakfast here is absolutely wonderful and so incredibly good. It is a top-tier spread with friendly service to match. However, you need to keep an eye on how you book. If you utilize a third-party booking site rather than reserving directly with the hotel, breakfast is not included and is billed separately, however worth it.

It was great!
-
The location to Tiger Stadium We liked everything about it
-
There was blood on the bed sheets ,the tub was dirty, poor tv quality ,unprofessional staff and the food was overpriced.
-
I checked in and had an accident before I checked in and with blood all over my face the girls at the desk was more worried about laughing then actually helping me. Pretty awful. They don’t disclose the fact that they charge you $20 for WiFi rec and parking. Crazy cause we never got told the WiFi password despite asking and didn’t park (we used a taxi the whole time).just fair warning if you decided to stay there . Additionally, we asked for more towels and the old ones got taken, but we never got more towels to our room. How are we supposed to shower with no towels?
-
The place was absolutely spotless everywhere he looked and the staff was excellent accommodating and helpful
-
We only had hot water for 1 of the 4 days we were there.

This was the perfect location for freshman orientation. The hotel was clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. We will definitely be staying here again.
