Baymont by Wyndham Bay City

Very dirty, no one at the desk when checking out, guest told me she had been there two months, lots of people in parking lot for hotel guests in the evening upon returning to hotel after a meal out. Door to enter hotel was propped open with a brick.

The condition of the room was in poor repair. Curtains were falling off the window, the bedding was old a shabby. The bed was very uncomfortable and should have been replaced decades ago. I had never stayed at a Baymont hotel before and never will again. I thought it would be more of an economy style hotel, but that it was a Wyndham property and would probably be OK. I thought wrong this place couldn't be more ghetto if they tried. Don't stay here.

Whole property was disgusting, cracks in the walls, the rooms actually looked okay but everything was dirty, my door wouldn't even close, the whole place smelled like ramen and cigarettes

The hotel is clean and the staff pleasant. They are in the middle of upgrading the property as workers are about cleaning and improving. The price was reasonable and when my tv would not work they moved me to a nicer room with a working tv.

Room was dirty. Bed sheets were staind and the blankets and burn holes in them. The place smelled terrible if I could of got a refund I would of.

Disgusting Clean

Got what we paid for which was acceptable for a 12 hour stay. Odor in room, maybe stale and or insecticide leftover. Could not get TV to live station and staff not much help. Poor breakfast selection. Surprised at low condition for Wyndham name?!

Breakfast is too simple, only waffle. Cereals run out. Floor is dirty but overall just stay for night is good

Outside was in disrepair, garbage strewn around. Room smelled moldy. Only one bath towel for two people, No hair dryer as advertised. Security lock was broken. The door wall lock did not work until we fixed it. People doing dope in parking lot. Drug deals going down in parking lot. People were living there full time. Jacuzzi was scumming in it. Even though we paid extra for the jacuzzi, we did not use because we didn’t want to clean it first. Sheets were for larger bed than we had which it was advertised as a queen but was more of a full size bed. We will never stay there again and never recommend this facility to anyone. If we had located another motel to stay we would have changed motels before we even stayed one night.

Building was not secure, open side doors. The room was pretty beat up.. and really wasn’t cleaned outside of dusted. Sheets clean but stained.

This place should be closed down. There was 1 towel. Hair clumps in the shower. The door lock was broken. Called the front desk several times with no answer. Asked the housekeeper for more towels and they never showed up.

Disappointing

The young man working at the front desk. The rooms were filthy. I had to go purchase cleaning supplies and scrub the bathtubs and camodes in both roo.s. This was after O had been put in our 3rd room. Beds were dirty, and we had to get clean bedding.

Didn’t bring my stuff in because there was black mold all over the shower and the lights didn’t work in our room

The staff was welcoming upon check-in. We received a key card for our 1st floor room but found that the sliders could not lock. We were given a 2nd room with sliders that would not open - there was note on the glass that said it was inoperable. This is likely a safety issue yet we kept the room after a tiring drive. It didn't take long to notice the uncleanliness of the room. The issues were dirty vinyl tile flooring, a hair wad in the bathroom tub, bottle caps behind the toilet and mirrors with a heavy film on them. Clearly this room wasn't cleaned other than clean towels. The room smelled as if a gallon of fabreeze was dumped on the floor [and so was the 1st room we rejected!]. It was difficult to sleep with that odor. I have traveled for over 50 years - this was by far the dirtiest room I have ever been in. No one should ever have to pay for a room where you can't take their shoes off or feel uncomfortable using bathroom. It was only a 2 night stay for us otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.
