Beautiful views, clean room, private beach, convenient to college campus and downtown, hearty breakfast. I'd stay there again.

The rooms were clean and everything worked. Staff was helpful and breakfast better than average. The view of and access to the lake is a big bonus. Will stay again.

It was a very clean place. Great continental breakfast. Staff was great. The only problems we had was construction going on right outside our window pounding all day. And the beach had so much algie we didn't use it.

We loved our stay at Southshore! The hotel was very clean and the staff is top notch. We stayed in a 2 queen bed studio suite, which fit our family of 5 beautifully (with room to spare). The breakfast was amazing; so many choices! Would definitely recommend!

Private beach was nice, but seating was NOT possible with the guest capacity of baseball teams and families visiting the area for tournaments. Elevator was malfunctioning and was stuck closed with occupants for 50+ minutes. Fire department had to assist in rescue efforts on Saturday 6/6/26. Hotel does not have ice/water on every floor like other hotel chains do. Pool, hot tubs, sauna, fitness very nice and clean! There is also a kiddie pool which is a nice feature for guests visiting without children. After hours for adults is a nice option, but 9 p.m. would be more accommodating for older adults who retire earlier to their rooms.

Very clean and well maintained hotel. Staff was extremely helpful. The continental breakfast included fresh fruit. The only complaint I had was a barking dog in the room next door.

Cosmetic upgrades were taking place but nothing that interfered with our stay. I swear I reserved the same type 2 bedroom room we get every time but I ended up in a handicap accessible tub room. I was a little sad but I’m sure that was my oversight. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Met a bride on the elevator and she was gorgeous. We will be back next May for our usual one night stay with birthday dinner at Green Mill. Love the hotel and staff. ❤️

The pillows were like sleeping on a rock!!! Coffee maker in the room was awful! We had stayed here when it was a Hampton and everything was great. You’ve got a long way to go to bring it back up to those standards!!! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Will not be returning until we here upgrades have been made!!!

The room was clean, staff super friendly. There was some construction going on, but it really didn’t affect my stay.

My stay was fine, no major issues. The in room jacuzzi could have been cleaned out better, had a bunch of tiny black specks floating all over. The pool area was fun, unfortunately my daughter ended up getting a rash from the chlorine level. We had to deal with a neighbor jamming out like crazy the next day, fortunately they stopped after a few hours... breakfast was great though they did a great job preparing that. The views from the rooms are very beautiful though, overall this hotel has a ton of potential if they tackle the tiny little issues. Had a great time, hope to come again in the future.
