Harwood Hill Motel

The location was perfect to go to Bennington college! Rm #5 had a deep bathtub! The property has different art work throughout the grounds. It’s quiet & walking distance to a good restaurant and a short drive to a great Mennonite market. Friendly staff!The continental breakfast is average, enough to start the day! The towels were more like hand towels, not big enough, fortunately we brought our own. Two afternoons there weren’t hot water to take a shower/bath but probably it was just a fluke….The wireless connection was flaky.

The room was cute and clean, the AC worked well, the grounds were beautiful and nice to walk around. The pamphlet with restaurant recommendations at the front desk was very helpful. I had a very peaceful solo visit for one night and would definitely go back again. A nice view of the field was blocked by an old truck and a sea box storage trailer right in front of my room (17). It would have been nice to be able to see the idyllic field from my windows instead.

Seemingly an old roadside motel, yet feels new, with thoughtful touches and beautifully designed, inside and out. Extremely well kept. Lovely simple breakfast which we wanted to linger over in the grounds on a beautiful morning. nothing!

Some kind of donut:sweet roll/ muffin would have been nice. Quaint motel

The restaurant next door was a big plus. Very quiet location.

Cute motel in a convenient location. The staff are very kind and helpful. Property and room are decorated with local art and there is a lovely continental breakfast with quiet places to sit and look across the valley. We enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

Ohhh this was a fun place to stay. The host is clearly an artist at heart and has furnished the rooms accordingly. Everything in our room was tasteful and immaculate. Though the surrounding area is quiet, we had dinner at the reasonably priced steakhouse mere steps away from the property and enjoyed our free continental breakfast as we chatted with other guests—everyone was so laid-back and friendly! The accommodations were safe and comfortable, but what we’ll remember most of all is the cheery, neighborly atmosphere.

The room was quirky in its decor but very clean and had all the amenities we wanted needed. There is nothing like being able to pull up to your room and easily unload luggage! There was sufficient space to spread out, open up suitcases and access toiletries. The mini fridge/ freezer was greatly appreciated, there was good bedside lighting on both sides. The continental breakfast was a nice addition.

Nothing special. Plain bagels. Cream cheese and p-nut butter in squeeze packet. Location in garage. TV reception intermittent and often pixelating. Bed height difficult for short people to get into. Mattress a bit lumpy. Ice only available in the office which had limited hours. Lots of junk in back yard. Property still a work in progress. Over priced.

Room darkening curtains/shade for back window did not block out much of the light.

Nice clean rooms with a comfortable bed, nice grounds, and a good location. I have no complaints. I did think the price was slightly high for a motel.
