Very nice, quiet place. Relaxing and cute.

Expected a little more for the price. Bar closes too early

Nice room, with garden views. Casual bar on first floor, with couches and patio to sip on. People very friendly. Breakfast was only ok. But the setting was great, so I didn't mind.

Perfectly situated in old Bennington in a lovely historic neighborhood setback from the road, so there’s no noise. The grounds are beautifully kept in the house is an exceptional example of New England style architecture. Everything was to our approval and pleasure!

Great location to visit Bennington sites: museum, monument, covered bridges, and close enough to area restaurants. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast portions were generous and flavorful. Overheard one guest complain she had too much food! (Breakfast is included with your stay.) The brick walkway needs repair because of its unevenness. The fountain area perhaps would be utilized with improved seating options. Better seating near the pond area and fountain as well to enjoy the wonderful grounds. The TV in the King Carriage room was underwhelming.

Room was clean. Staff helpful. Didn’t get a chance to have breakfast either days, the system of pre filled form for breakfast didn’t work for us. Didn’t get a chance to go to the bar

Lovely place very comfortable

Not a lot of outdoor areas to sit out at night or during the day, no refrigerator in room, TV was very small, no outlets in bathroom.

Wonderful place to stay!

We only stayed 1 night at the 4 Chimneys but wish we could have stayed an extra day or 2. Our room (#9) was in the cottage and was very comfortable. Its was also nice and quiet as it was not in the main building. It had a dedicated parking spot and no stairs! Our friends stayed in the larger more expensive room but it was up 2 flights. It was a bit fancier but I'm not as young as I once was and didn't want to carry our bags up and down, The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of beverage choices, hot or cold. The one thing we both agreed on was that the TV's were too small for the viewing distance as the rooms are a nice size. One of our blinds was also broken and hanging down. Not a complaint but the restaurant is closed (for good?)

Had a great experience here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Chatting with the bartender and other guests at the bar over a nightcap made for an enjoyable evening. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic.

Peaceful and whimsical stay in a historic inn. The breakfast was delicious (served with the best local maple syrup) and location was a 5 minute drive to the downtown area.

Historical, warm Nothing

This is a quintessential Vermont inn in beautiful historic Bennington. The inn was lovingly cared for by the owner who was very attentive to his guests. We will stay again.

The breakfast was delicious how we enjoyed talking to people we met. The only thing I could think of was in room number four, it was kind of hard to see the small television because of the footboard. Possibly a larger television mounted on the wall. But otherwise bed was super comfy as was the pillows.

Fantastic. Exceeded expectations

This is a beautiful, historic property and pretty consistent with the photos on the website. The room I had was just as pretty with some antique furnishings, but of course in person you notice that it is an old building. The room was a great size, and I loved the hardwood floors. The bathroom was also large and you are provided a sundry of items for convenience. The bed was comfortable, though it did seem to have a center depression. The only other issue I had was that though the the showerhead seemed to have a dial to adjust pressure, I was not able to. Overall the property is in great condition. The staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was outstanding, served in their traditional, historic, and charming restaurant space.
