Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bensenville - O'Hare by IHG

The hotel was nice, however, the pool was down and that was the reason of us coming. We had to use the pool next-door (the hotel next door that was walking distance) and that’s when the problems happen. I had called before booking that hotel weeks prior and I asked would it be OK to have a party for kids and did I need to purchase two rooms. I was told no I could invite how many people I would like and that they did not give out wristbands for the pool. So I booked a room. As my guest started to show up for my son‘s 10th birthday, (it was 12 kids) the front desk noticed and kept pulling me to the side asking me how many rooms I had and basically giving me a hard time. I know that some hotels make you purchase two rooms for the use of the pool however I called and I was told there was no wristbands giving for each room and that it did not matter. So I was very disappointed. I wasn’t allowed to allow some of the kids to stay. Even when I offered to purchase another room, they told me that they were fully booked. But when I went online, they had four rooms available weird! Once I had told them that I had called and showed them proof of me calling weeks prior. They were willing to allow the kids to swim, but they all had to leave by nine. So I guess they accommodating me in a way, but I still was disappointing because I called prior to the date and I had to call these kids parents in the middle of the night to come pick them up. They need to update their WHOLE staff on the policy

Breakfast area could use deep clean

Staff was so kind. Towels were so rough they hurt your skin.

Very clean room. Well kept facility. Breakfast was tasty and good selection. Service was friendly and prompt. Would stay here again!

One aspect out of the control of the hotel was the venue over 500 yards away that had music so loud it was heard in our room. Many guests complained about this noise and it was going on past 11pm. First time in our many stays this has happened.

The front desk lady on evenings was the best. She was so kind and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and the location was perfect. Close, easy drive to downtown Chicago. Thank you for an affordable, comfortable stay.

Very spacious in the suite and cost efficient. Muffins in the morning were very tasty and helpful for our 4am airport shuttle pickup. We weren’t there long enough to try out the poop and facilities. Would’ve expected great things compared to the rest of the hotel’s standards.

Airport shuttle is sketchy- only one dim headlight, half of the indicator lights on the dash are illuminated and there’s a scrolling list of faults on the display related to safety system failures.

Extremely nice staff. We were flying but our first leg on our trip was delayed so we missed our connection in Chicago. It was very late and the staff helped us so well to get to the hotel from the airport and helped us at 4:45 AM to get us back to the airport. The property was extremely clean and the room was very nice and quite large.. Can’t thank them enough.

Great hotel! Perfect for that early flight!

My only real issue with this property was that there were a bunch of flood lights outside my windows and there were no black out shades which was really unfortunate!!!

Good stay. I would recommend that they have a plan for guest during tornado warnings. Even if it means going to an adjacent hotel

The parking lot was closed and clean

The pull out sofa mattress was very uncomfortable. It was wrong side up with the coils literally poking your body during sleep. Still not comfortable when on correctly. We asked reception for something to lay on top but they did not follow through.

Our towel rod and bathroom soap dispenser kept falling apart. Maintenance tried to fix it but couldn’t.
