Bird in Hand Family Inn

My family and I love staying here. Great for relaxing and families as it has 2 indoor regular pools and a Hot Tub. You can also pay to have a Smorgasburg breakfast on Sundays in their restaurant as there are very limited places to eat on Sunday. Rooms are soundproof and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional

The Inn was close to an event we were scheduled to attend. Unfortunately the event was cancelled due to extreme weather. My travel companion has significant mobility issues and we were quite disappointed to find only one handicap parking spot assigned to the building our room was in. It was a three story building!! Totally unacceptable and quite disappointing! And when I mentioned it to the desk staff when we checked out, she didn’t appear to have a bit of empathy for the situation. We were dismissed with not so much as an ‘we’re sorry!’ Needless to say, we will never ever consider staying there again.

Nice property. Our room has an odor.

Everything was great

Lots of amenities right on property or very close Nice layout

Superb

Great location and great staff Ac was not as clean as I wanted

Very good

Very nice stay close to all theaters and attractions.

Exceptional

Thought the breakfast was included in price of room. It could have been better for the price.

Close proximity to the stores and the BIH Half marathon event. It was clean, although older/dated, that had great facilities including multiple pools, on site petting zoo, pond with fish you can feed, and a fantastic mini golf.

Exceptional

We stayed two nights in this beautiful complex. It offered so many amenities, like close parking, a free narrated guide sight seeing tour on a 14 seater van to local Amish businesses, endless coffee & tea in the lobby and two indoor swimming pools. Our room was very clean and decorated in a colonial style. It had two queen beds, however, both mattresses would too firm for us. A pillow top mattress would have been perfect for us. The mattress firmness was the only negative about our stay. The shower had great water pressure and instant hot water. The complex had miniature golf on site and a petting zoo. It was within walking distance to a store filled with Amish goodies and produce, and souvenirs, a separate bakery, and a tent revival. I’m sure I heard fireworks on Saturday night. There was a huge flea market and a tasty buffet restaurant within walking distance. We would stay there again.

Very good stay, very happy

Everything!!!! Location, staff and accommodations were all superb and probably some of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in It’s hard to pick a negative but If I had to nitpick, because of construction/refurbishing it’s very difficult to find check-in/registration at night

The owner of the properties need to change the carpet in the rooms , the carpet smell bad !

It's an upwardly mobile motel with some fun amenities, situated within a sort of Amish theme park. I'm mostly bummed they did not have complimentary breakfast.

Always a delightful stay. Friendly, quaint, clean, safe. Details are everything and this little motel pays attention to them. More so than any of the big name hotels we’ve stayed at. We will always stay here when our travels bring us to Lancaster.
