Cielo Hotel Bishop-Mammoth, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We had a downstairs room at the end of the wing. There was a recurrent noise either from AC unit or another utility that made it difficult to fall asleep. The mattress was hard and the pillows were lumpy. Otherwise, the property is remodeled and looks very fresh and update. The lobby is bright and open with convenient seating for humble breakfast (cereal/yogurt/coffee). The fitness room is two guest room remodeled into one right on the ground floor close to the lobby. Has one of each basic workout machines and a weight rack. Bishop is generally a transit point where we arrive late and leave early for Mammoth; Cielo was a good match to put your head down for the night and get going. The team on site is very responsive and friendly. This hotel is a good remodel likely by private equity investor for a modest traveller. Convenient parking in the safe part of town leaves you assured that your car will be intact in the morning. Happy to see a few Bishop properties getting a facelift!

The air conditioner was difficult to operate and the sink was clogged. The woman at the front desk came in at 11 at night with a plunger. Don’t recommend this establishment. Thank you

TV didn't work. Breakfast was just dry foods, hard boiled eggs and prepackaged items. No hot breakfast like I experienced in 2022

On the plus side, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. On the extreme negative side, the front desk in particular and staff in general were very unfriendly. They all seem to be very unhappy people. Either the company is a very bad one to work for, or they receive no training about customer service and customer interaction but either way it was a good experience so that I know I never want to stay there again.

The place was on the older side but our room was large, we had a separate living area from bedroom. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast selection was mostly breads, no hot food.

Hotel is clean but you can see a lot of wear throughout property. I was told that there was trailer parking but I found out it was already taken. Staff told me to find somewhere to park in the street because certain areas in the parking lot were not available to be blocked. There isn’t much street parking near the hotel. I dropped my trailer at another property, later that evening other trucks with trailers were blocking areas that I was told not to.

All night long there were noises which kept me up! Also the breakfast was horrible.

The room was clean and that’s a plus for me!! It’s all I really care about. Although I was there two nights and my room was not cleaned the next day. Checking in the woman at the front desk was not friendly, borderline rude. But not much else I can say. I had no real major issues. I wiiid stay again.

Great location

Great location. Front desk is unfriendly. No smile. Makes one feel unwelcome on arrival. This property is over due for a major update/remodel of rooms and bathrooms.

Nice place. Clean. Tiny bathroom. Didn’t appreciate the extra charges on our bill for nothing.

Clean and average hotel for the price. Comparable to HIE and better than the other budget options in Bishop.

Location Not clean, ant problem in the room, not worth the price.

So loud! the bathroom was very tight and the shower was challenging to turn on and find a decent temperature. I was very bummed we paid the extra money thinking it was a nicer hotel when it was rather average.

The rooms were clean and near restaurants .

Disappointing… This place used to be one of my favorites..?

located in the heart of town. Easy to walk to almost everything. Clean property. Stayed here two years in a row for vacation. Will be back!
