The beds were comfortable The common areas were very dirty, refrigerator smelled like rotten food, and we found fleas. Also, there's no AC, just fans.

Such an amazing place! Super cozy, very clean, and so quiet. It's the earliest rising hostel I've ever stayed at!

They have lots of rec. gear, including music instruments for guests to entertain themselves-you name it and, save maybe PlayStation-ish BS, they got it. Very chill, rock climby vibe. Great and organized communal approach to shared facilities, e.g., kitchen, dining, common space.

The Hostel is a place where people who enjoy the outdoors stay when in Bishop or Eastern Sierras. As a lone traveler I really liked the welcoming atmosphere. People are there for similar reasons and rather than staying in a lonely hotel room I liked interacting with other people doing similar things. The communal areas are great and comfortable. The kitchen allows you to cook what you want after days or weeks on trail. It is also great value. If you are a group, it is very affordable. The staff are welcoming and outdoorsy too.

I loved the community environment that comes with a hostel. Would definitely stay in hostels more often. This place is charming to say the least! Could have done without so much blatant drug use, but this is California.
