The room was a decent size for two people, and was clean and quiet. The location on the west side of Detroit was good. It was easy to find and there was sufficient room in the parking lot even though an event was going on in the city. There were many public areas for meetings and socializing. There were no bathrobes or slippers. The halls were very maze-like. There was one hook on the bathroom door, which was the only place to hang wet towels and swimsuits aside from the shower doors. There were no towel racks. It would be an easy fix to install another hook. The hotel and rooms were accessible from several entrances, which was a security concern as anyone could walk in unseen.

Room was clean. Facilities appeared to be nice. Did not get to use the facilities but plan to stay again. The restaurant onsite was good for breakfast.

The property is nice. It has a bit of a retro style. Everything was clean, secure, and well maintained. It is not close to downtown, but if you are driving it is not a bad drive to get there. It is nice in Bloomfield. You can opt for breakfast in your room package. I did. It was good. It is one meal and drink choice from the Zalman’s restaurant on the property. I choice the breakfast sandwich. It is bacon, egg, and cheese on a cheese and chive biscuit. 10/10! Get it with their strawberry preserve. You won’t regret it.

The customer service is top tier and the salt water pool was refreshing! Loved all of the lounge areas, the courtyard, the skylight in the pool area made it feel like an outdoor pool without all of the hassel, and the bar was fun. The restaurant with breakfast, baked goods and specialty coffee drinks was the icing on the cake, so to speak! There is an absence of towel racks in the bathroom.

Pillow cases were a bit raggedy and there were some stains on the sheets, hotel room just seemed worn. Parking is interesting, be prepared to walk and get a bit turned around. And don’t get a room with a “pool view” it’s so loud. Staff were amazing and kind.

Had a power outage. needed a place to charge my phone and lay my head for a few days. I've always wanted to do a staycation at the Kingsley (IDKW) so once it came up during my search I decided to book even though it's not close to me at all. I wasn't disappointed. The room had great water pressure, so I really enjoyed my shower. The bed was comfy so I had the best rest. Let's not forget the cookies. I checked in and was immediately given warm delicious cookies. I'd stay again. Also for those not from the area its prefect for good food and shopping. Cranbrook is right down the way, fine dining is literally right next door, J. Alexander, is a short 4 miles away. Stay here during your power outage.
