For starters, we had to arrive at 4:00p else we would be charged extra, Either earlier or later. While the facility was very new, that is where the positives end. The check in was horrible as the person was very unprofessional, difficult to talk to. With the area suffering from a wild-fire, putting air quality for us at risk, We decided to cut our stay short by one day. Staff would not even consider a refund as their rules state changes must be at least 72 hours advance notice. Decided to leave anyways and lost up to $300 for second night. Had to return at noon the day we left because staff claimed they would not be in attendance before On checking out same staffer showed his stripes by texting or talking loudly on cell phone with me there-extremely noisy as I wear hearing aids and could not hear him. He did not respect me and, to me, was rude As to the socalled amenities, we used nothing but were still charged plus tax. For an upscale place, no food or beverages were even available. My reviews as being okay apply to physical structures and room only. I will NEVER go there again. Even before we left home nearly seven days before our stay, the site made it very difficult to find out about it. They tried to get me to upload license and credit card before I even got there. I would not nor could not. Management needs to make amends, with at least an apology or credit us for the lost money for the second night. Rules be damned A fire nearby could have made us sick.

Beautiful hotel across from the bay with spectacular views. Would stay here again.

This was a cozy spot and very clean. Conveniently located near the local pub and grill.

Nice views of the bay. Staff friendly and helpful, but not always available. Front office was closed most of the time. Thank you for allowing the dog to stay with us.

The physical property was fine, but the reservation desk person was overloaded with many people waiting in line for protracted periodsw.

Love the Bayview by the balcony and love the fireplace!

Water views and the room is well mentained .Convenient diatance from restaurants. Property is beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Dega very much! Clean, big room, comfortable beds and a wonderful view of the Bay!

The check in process was a little different with everything being online. Not at all bad, just different. The gentleman working was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean, since everything was newly remodeled. The finishing touches may need to be done still like painting the baseboards. Again not horrible, but I hope continued maintenance and service will be in place. I was very surprised that there was not A/C or some sort of cooling system in the room. Our room did not have a screen on the sliding glass door, and that made it difficult to cool off, because we did not want bugs to fly into the room. Maybe a fan or ceiling fan could be provided in the summer months. Having a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room was perfect. The decor was beautiful and tasteful. All in all it was really nice. I will definitely be back, and hope that the owners will keep putting money back into the property so it can become a favorite for people like me who come to Bodega Bay a couple times per year.

Property was beautiful. No air conditioning, and staff was able to give us a fan.

The place is unstaffed in the evening/ night . Makes check in a real pain in the a$$

There was garbage and food behind the sofa which my dog found immediately. Vacuuming behind sofa would have been nice prior to my arrival. The bathroom sink was clogged. I used q-tips to clean out disgusting hair and gunk to get the water to drain after brushing my teeth. Screen door on sliding door to patio would have been nice. Advertised private balconies. The neighboring room had large window looking directly at my patio. The person staying above me stomped like an elephant and kept opening and closing their sliding door. Very little, if any, sound reduction construction. A tad over $1,200 for three nights was too much for this location.

Staff ( Lisa) was the best. Bed little rough to sleep on. Other than that was quite pleasant. Recommend a stay there.
