Very outdated property! Lots of construction going which made it difficult to check in and restaurants not open.

Our family has frequently visited this establishment for over ten years. Over time, the amenities included in our stay have diminished, while prices have increased. Previously, accommodations encompassed dinner, breakfast, and a variety of family activities at no additional charge. Currently, guests are required to pay separately for each activity, breakfast, and dinner, which I am willing to accept. However, for a fourteen-year-old child who is gluten-free and can only consume yogurt and a banana, the surcharge of over twenty dollars is excessive. Additionally, a buffet lacking bacon, waffles, or pancakes is also overpriced. Constant noise from staff vacuuming during the early morning hours of 9:30 disrupts the environment, which children find unpleasant. The noise from bathroom fans that activate upon lighting is similarly disruptive. Moreover, upon booking, we were not informed that the gym was closed nor that the children's pool was drained and unavailable for use during the current season. Furthermore, there are no staff members available at the bar for drinks during the afternoon peak in the summer months. At check-in, we did not receive a list of recommended restaurants options, whereas business travelers received VIP treatment with such information. Our group stayed in various accommodations, including cabins, houses, suites, and standard rooms. It is essential that all guests receive a consistently high-quality experience, regardless of their chosen accommodation.

Under massive construction, tough to navigate. Hallways felt very outdated.

Resort was very nice, quiet and clean. The one thing we did notice was there were a lot of steps to everything….our room, the pool area, the deck area outside the pool to go down by the lake—hard for older people or disabled. Room was very nice and clean!

I would recommend staying. I live in the area and when I just want enjoy a weekend. I stay here.

Overpriced, food was actually good, but not worth the price. Same food free at other hotels.

Good

Excellent resort with old world charm. Hard to find a better place with all the amenities they have. Remodeling the place and it will be spectacular when done. The courses were in great shape.
-
Breakfast was good. Pool area was large and nice Silverfish and ants in roim. Meal selections and dining options wete limited during our stay.

The beautiful scenery and location.

The room was nice Construction. Restaurants weren't open

Room was decent. Check in was confusing. The resort was under construction which made navigating the property difficult. The property was pretty run down and unkept. Very dated, looked like original carpet in the hall, the “fit and finish” of the entire main building needs a remodel. Ice machine was not working!

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Rooms are very dated. The fireplace in the room didn’t work and the phone in the room didn’t work when I tried to call the desk for assistance. The front desk staff wasn’t very helpful. View of the lake was the best thing about the property.

Staff was very nice and helpful.

Thank you! The smell - it smelled old and musty but that is probably because of the age of the hotel. It was fine - it was just a WOAH when we walked in. Also the maze to get to the pool because of the construction. Something that can't be helped - no worries!

That said, there were some noticeable maintenance issues. There were stains on the ceiling from what appeared to be a past water leak, and the shower felt quite run down, with caulking chipping around the drain. The property overall seemed very dated—not unkept, but clearly in need of some refreshing. On a positive note, it was encouraging to see that renovations are currently underway. With those updates, this resort has great potential to really elevate the guest experience. We’d be interested in returning once the facelift is complete to see the improvements firsthand.

We stayed in March while they were in the middle of a huge renovation. Therefore it is best to make sure these rankings are properly framed. Our room was clean and spacious. We were however right by the entrance door from the parking lot and therefore had a LOT of noise when people were coming and going. It had a small deck but at 45 degrees with a wind off the lake, we did not sit on it! The renovation will be nice but we just wanted a place to stay for the night and it suited our needs just fine.
-
The indoor pool The room was out dated and the air conditioning unit was loud, along with the pool area staying open way to late which created a ton of loud noise. The beds were also uncomfortable.
-
Didn't get breakfast. Toilet wasn't flushed from earlier use. Also, some cleaning supplies were left in the room.

Location is nice. beautiful area Very outdated room. Fireplace did not throw out any heat just flames for looks. very miss matched wood work in the room with baseboard heat. We went for a nice peaceful getaway, hoping to be able to use the hot tub only to see you couldn't even get close to using it due to it being over crowded to a huge group there for a girls basketball tournament all weekend. It would have been nice to know before we booked that there was an event going on. We were not able to enjoy the pool or hot tub. A staff member we ran into mentioned after the fact that the fitness center had a hot tub for adults but you needed a Key and had to drive on the other sides of the resort. Check in never mentioned any of this. This was our first time there and they didn't even ask if we were there before so we did not know any of this. By the time we found this out it was too late. We tried to make the best of it so we went down to the lobby to see if we could purchase a deck of cards or a game and couldn't even get that. So we were very disappointed especially for the price we paid to stay in a room. I would have had a better time just staying at my home on our couch which was more comfortable than the bed.
