Location was great! Kids loved the giant float in the beach area. Kids enjoyed the banana boat ride. Food at Lakehouse bar and kitchen was very good. Availability of kayaks and bikes. People took them and did not return them. Therefore, unless you got one first thing in the morning, they were not available. Breakfast buffet was just okay. Tables weren’t cleaned. Food ran out and was not replenished very quickly.

Charging a 3% credit card fee on a hotel room transaction is outrageous. It is listed as a convenience fee. Cost over $32 to use credit card upon checkout.

Older property, but renovations are coming I understand. This stay was in the middle of winter so very cold, but the lake is beautiful any time of year.

A room with a lake view. Comfortable bed and chairs in the room. Several eating options. Old carpet in hallways. Coffee shop and other renovations underway- updates are nice- but to main areas in the middle of summer??

Property is pretty dated in comparison to other properties in the area. I wouldn’t say it’s a great value.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the golf courses were beautiful, and challenging in a great way. Gull lake was a few steps away, and also beautiful. For the price the room was not up to speed....very out-dated and a few problems with hardware (the light fell down from the ceiling, and the bathroom racks were broken). The beds were OK. But for $250+ it was too much for what the room offered. Also, there was a ton of new construction being done and no one told us this would be happening.

It is under major remodeling. I do feel they could have let customers know. Walking with a cane was a bit difficult. Scaffolding was set up at the entry in and out. I understand that they need to make money but this type of construction and it is on going needs to be made public. Hotels , com should have known about. I feel I should have some money refunded by Hotels.com

This was our first stay. The room overlooking the lake was spacious and very comfortable. We took advantage of a number of activities, each of which was fun for all ages. The beach was perfect for all day fun. Great family and multi-generational destination. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.

A must destination when in Northern Minnesota

Family friendly, lovely beach, and great food.

Rooms had a lot of space in the room . View was great from balcony over gull lake. No elevator to access the 2 and 3 floors. Lots of stairs. Rooms need have resort info. When I checked in they handed me a map of resort and that was all they provided. If you want info you have to go to their website and search for it. Not everyone has a smartphone or laptop. While there a major storm came through with the resort providing no shelter info or storm info.

Very outdated property! Lots of construction going which made it difficult to check in and restaurants not open.

Our family has frequently visited this establishment for over ten years. Over time, the amenities included in our stay have diminished, while prices have increased. Previously, accommodations encompassed dinner, breakfast, and a variety of family activities at no additional charge. Currently, guests are required to pay separately for each activity, breakfast, and dinner, which I am willing to accept. However, for a fourteen-year-old child who is gluten-free and can only consume yogurt and a banana, the surcharge of over twenty dollars is excessive. Additionally, a buffet lacking bacon, waffles, or pancakes is also overpriced. Constant noise from staff vacuuming during the early morning hours of 9:30 disrupts the environment, which children find unpleasant. The noise from bathroom fans that activate upon lighting is similarly disruptive. Moreover, upon booking, we were not informed that the gym was closed nor that the children's pool was drained and unavailable for use during the current season. Furthermore, there are no staff members available at the bar for drinks during the afternoon peak in the summer months. At check-in, we did not receive a list of recommended restaurants options, whereas business travelers received VIP treatment with such information. Our group stayed in various accommodations, including cabins, houses, suites, and standard rooms. It is essential that all guests receive a consistently high-quality experience, regardless of their chosen accommodation.

Under massive construction, tough to navigate. Hallways felt very outdated.

Resort was very nice, quiet and clean. The one thing we did notice was there were a lot of steps to everything….our room, the pool area, the deck area outside the pool to go down by the lake—hard for older people or disabled. Room was very nice and clean!
