You had all the amenities of the Mount Washington hotel but the coziness and quiet of the inn. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Bretton Arms was quiet. The restaurant had good service and a good breakfast. The 1902 restaurant had excellent service. We unfortunately stayed in the outbuilding property instead of the main hotel and it was virtually empty,, but we had to pay for self-parking anyway over a muddy path. We asked to be moved to the main hotel but only one night was available. The daily rate was the same for both locations, yet you do not experience the grandeur. The staff seemed inexperienced. The room felt damp. Having a dehumidifier would be he helpful. We noticed that the daily maid service was minimal. No in-room coffee or tea. Ice bucket not emptied. The property is neglected bd needs maintenance and updating. Examples: dry rot on pillars, cheap plastic toilet seat and very low old style toilet, leaky faucet in bathroom, no safety bars or safety mat in combo bath and shower.

The more significant issue, however, was my experience at the front desk. My interactions with one younger woman at check in and one older gentleman while requesting a shuttle to an event were disappointing. They came across as unprofessional and unprepared for their roles. Their behavior was unexpected and not at all welcoming. Fortunately, several other staff members provided outstanding service and helped improve my overall stay. Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and the front desk experience is what will most likely stay with me when reflecting on or recommending this property.

That the fee for having a dog was not transparent . We did not know until we were checking in that it would be $200.00 for a dog

The staff is terrific!

The breakfast was great. The staff, particularly the manager and our waiter Julvern were welcoming and let us relax and enjoy even though we were at the end of their shift. The manager also handled a delicate situation with a table next to us where the woman did not announce to the staff that she was gluten free until after her food came! He handled it professionally and efficiently making sure that she was safe and confirmed that her food was indeed, gluten free.

We actually moved from the Omni arms to the main hotel and we are so glad we did. It’s a beautiful property. The Omni arms not so much The Omni arms was very dark inside and Boone there to greet you for checkin.
