Holiday Inn Express & Suites Butler by IHG

Pool was horribly maintained, not heated , bottom of the pools floor was slime. Rooms were not updated we had a suite and I was not excited about it. TV was small, carpet and tables were old. The staff was nice however I would not stay here again until they remodel.

The temperature in the room was 61°. I froze all night couldn't adjust the air conditioner The remote on the TV didn't work except it would change channels I finally figured out how to turn it off about 2:00 in the morning

Clean room’s and spacious bathrooms but hallways and elevator was dirty and needed a good cleaning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and breakfast was okay but I’ve had better.

Room was aging badly. Stains on carpet, rust in shower, electrical outlet was broken and hole in outlet face plate (dangerous hazard), room not cleaned in two days ( trash cans not empty). Bedding not refreshed after two days. We left and moved to a different hotel. I would have a hard time justifying a 2 rating, more like 1 1/2. I left pics when we got out.

It was close to where we had to go This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in! Every area was filthy!

The location to our event was fine The room was very dirty. The bed looked like it was thrown together by the previous guest. I'm not sure the sheets were even changed. No toilet paper or tissues in the room. The sink shelves were full of dirt and dust and the hair dryer was out of the bag, which leads me to believe the room was NOT cleaned in between guests. Towels were not changed for us during the entire trip (3 days), nor was the trash emptied. We went to the front desk to ask if someone was going to empty our trash. They handed us a trash bag and told us to leave our garbage outside our room in the hallway. The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent, there was no tub mat and the shower floor was VERY slippery. We had to hold the grab bar the entire time. The hallway floors were filthy and someone wrote 'clean me' on the elevator door. The breakfast buffet was disgusting, with broken coffee machines, toaster and microwave. The eggs had fake cheese in them, gross! The indoor pool was freezing, and the hallway blinds were broken. The staff smokes in front of the building, and there were dozens of cigarette butts all over the ground by the entry way. The outdoor seating area was a complete mess, with chairs all over the place and trash on the ground. Either this Holiday Inn Express is short staffed OR they just don't care about the building or their guests OR both. We will never stay in that Holiday Inn again. The hotel was a disgrace, especially for the cost of the room.

The room was dirty and had a horrible smell. My clothes and bag stunk terribly.

Room needed vacuumed. Cheetos and dirt on floor Bed was short sheeted. Wallpaper peeling from walls and they were badly stained. Needed paint Price was a bit high for condition

For the most part our stay was just fine. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean but the pool was so gross. The water was so cloudy and my son said with goggles on he could not see underwater. And the smell oh the smell! Like we were at SeaWorld!!! So gross!

Nice spot, clean, very friendly, close to all the shopping and restaurants. A bit dated but otherwise great.

Great service - rooms were clean and the morning breakfast was a huge bonus with lots of varities.

The fact that housekeeping doesn't come around to the rooms to give fresh linen/clean towels. The fact that there was trash in the hallway from other guests that didn't get taken care of. You had to call down to the front desk for pretty much everything needed. Our room unit wouldn't go above 68 (the guy at the front desk did try to fix it but couldn't so he had to shut the unit off so it wouldn't keep blowing out cold air). The "kitchen" area the floor was sticky like something was spilled and not cleaned properly. The hotel had a pool which is great My kids love to swim but as soon as you walk in that's all you smelled was the chlorine.

Experience was great.. from room customer service, rooms, breakfast. Everything was great

Two ladies that covered the desk The one night stay room we got for $ 177.00 Bath rooms: The shower hair looking like (pubic), some mold around Tubs Microwave had food and greasy hand prints. All mirrors were not totallly cleaned. Only one lady on the desks. She addressed our concerns right away. Asked for pictures , we complied. I am.Gave us another room to check out. We had 3 rooms more to check total of four rooms in similar disgust. The fifth room we were able to stay the night in reluctantly. This process took us about 1& 1/2 hrs to complete. We asked for some compensation because this was not a $177 room. Absurd to ask your guests to check up on the rooms & take pictures . Could understand only one person to run the desk. The lady did give us the name on the lady manager in the morning that could handle the question of some reimbursement. The manager on in the morning was also very responsive and we received a reimbursement of $99 for the stay..

Bathroom in the room was dirty when we arrived. TV didn't work had to call for help. Overall could have been cleaner.

They then billed me and never gave me my Military discount. I called the main office on Monday and they simply said, sorry we will address it???? I paid 170. To sleep in the dark cold building and had to find a gym to get shower! Absolutely never again will I stay there. The manor on how they deal with issues!

This hotel is very dated. The carpets, especially in the stairwells are filthy, covered in crumbs. The walls in our room had been glaringly spot painted. The breakfast bar was very basic, with muffins and bread likely from a nearby large grocer and soggy biscuits. The coffee was good and there was plenty of milk.
