The B& B is beautiful and very comfortable. I loved the 4 p.m. tea & cakes and the 5:30 p.m. w8ne & cheese! The breakfasts were out of this world delicious! Steps to the 3rd floor.

Breakfast was great All good

The porches. Having food served through the afternoon and the breakfast. Close to the ocean. Parking available. The building was interesting No streaming option. The food was good but the morning breakfast only offered types of pork. I would check the menu when you go. Also the desserts pictures on the website are not what are offered. The offering is much more basic. The website makes you think you are offered a spread. It’s very nice but not what the website sets up as an expectation. The room didn’t have a view of the ocean. The view is blocked by a plant between the properties. IF you want a beach view room go elsewhere. The second and third story porches have a good view of the water. But no umbrellas for shade.

The special care and friendly atmosphere were apparent from the minute we checked in. The lobby is adorable . Tea, Wine and cheese were excellent and the breakfasts were over the top. A total pleasure to stay there

Breakfast was excellent, food delicious. The atmosphere was amazing, felt like a Victorian seaside retreat. Tea time and wine and cheese were an added bonus.

Proximity to the beach was great—just a block away. The exterior of the property was quite nice with a large wide porch. The serving staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was small, unattractive, dark with only one window. The bathroom was smaller than any bathroom I've used, with a teeny tiny shelf for personal items. The AC was a window model that was ineffective: it cooled the bedroom, not the bath, and it needed to be turned up high in order to keep the room cool. The room was not as clean as one would expect, and there was a musty, mildewed atmosphere. It was not a comfortable room to relax in: we used it to shower and sleep and left it as early as possible each day.

The location. It is in the quieter end of cape may, but close to walk to all the restaurants etc. And although I’m not into the Victoriana thing, the history of the place is pretty cool. It is a historic hotel, but the modern updates made it fairly comfortable and we appreciated having generous power strips on both sides of the bed where to plug in our electronics (something that newer, modern hotels often fail to provide). Another nice thing is that, in addition to an over the top breakfast, they offer afternoon tea and, later, wine cheese in the early evening The room was quite small. The updates made it fairly comfortable but it was tight. There was a sorry little tv on a cute wicker table. Why bother with a tv? I’d rather have had a mini-fridge and a kettle to boil water for my (very early) morning coffee.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive. The centuries-old property was well-maintained and charming and a great location close to the beach. Breakfast was delicious. Afternoon wine was a wonderful treat!
