Fantastic views. Helpful staff. Terrific restaurant. Lovely common room with two fireplaces and live music. We’ll be back!

Our father went on hospice in the hospital and died within 24 hours of leaving for our trip. We were required to stay for medical decision making by the doctor. We were the only next of kin and power of attorney. When I asked for a credit to be able to come when we can replan our trip, the Hyatt’s response was a quick “there are no exceptions” Every other property in Carmel gave us a full refund. Very disappointing response for what they claim to represent during a difficult death with our father. Do not book here. Try a different place that appreciates and cares about their guests.

So expensive for actual facility and cleaning condition. Just nice location. restaurant is ok too. They charge resort fee that should be included in this very already expensive accommodation fee. I paid resort fee for A little pool that I have not used. Nothing there.

Absolutely Fabulous! The view was spectacular! Would definitely stay here again! The restaurant was amazing

We had a “sunset suite “. First, the positive: the views were amazing. The room itself seemed to be a long storage facility right under the lounge that was converted to a guest room. It was oddly long with a very VERY low ceiling. At night and morning, you could hear them moving the chairs and tables above our bed around closing time. The staff was apathetic with big smiles and no interest in actually helping.

    It was amazing

Despite terrific views of the coastline, the room was cramped, dark and dated. We stay in lots of hotels and expected better for the high nightly rate. Service and food in the restaurant were wonderful. Highly recommend it for cocktails or a meal, but save money and stay somewhere else.

This place is amazing! It’s comfortable, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. The views are breathtaking! The food is great and the service is even better. Every single member of the staff we encountered was fabulous and kind. Our room was cozy and the bed was super comfy! We’ll definitely come back.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. We will be going again next year and plan to stay here again. The staff was wonderful, the room was so clean and well-maintained, and the view was STUNNING! The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, and again, the view! The fireplace in the room was so cozy. We did not get in the pool, but it was very well maintained, and it's heated. The outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic at night, since it's chilly outside and warm in the bubbling water. I HIGHLY recommend this spot as your new go-to spot. Love love love this place!!!

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room with ocean view was surreal. Kids enjoyed the living room and balcony. Hotel restaurant is the best but super busy or pre booked so plan accordingly.

The view of ocean. Staff was very friendly and professional Only slightly it was far away from the event and sights

Our room was not ready at 230pm when we arrived early. We were told we could go to happy hour in the bar and we would get a text when the room was ready. We didn’t get a text and by now it was almost 5 pm. New staff coming in were apologetic. Beautiful hotel. Nice room. Bathroom was ok. We enjoyed our stay.

We had to leave early, before the restaurant opening time, and were disappointed to find that the coffee machine didn’t work!

Historic hotel at a fantastic location. Dining and valet service was excellent. Point Lobos Suite was a disappointment due to odd layout but overall experience was very good. Be aware that there's a pitch to join their 'Hyatt Club' as the hotel seems to be switching to a time-share-like shared ownership model. Carmel Highlands is a beautiful and unique setting, nothing beats the sunset view overlooking the rugged coast.

Beautiful resort!!!! And the restaurant at the resort has the most amazing view of the ocean. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back to this beautiful resort.

The only downside was parking. The nearest parking lot to our room was a decent walk up a steep hill. If you have mobility issues, please check on the parking arrangements for your specific room you book.

The views were spectacular! The hotel tub was on the smaller side. But loved having the real outdoor fire pit. Everything felt very secluded and upscale.

The Pacific Edge Restaurant on site was very nice; expect to pay $100 or so for a nice breakfast for 3. Housekeeping very poor; house keeper spilled her coffee apparently on our landing inside and out and I stepped in it and tracked in; sticky sweeten coffee with cream apparently. Also, multiple days we were left without towels, called housekeeping and no answer, called front desk who didn’t seem to care as we never received towels, went to front desk to share dissatisfaction around 7:00p on our last night and received towels sometime through the middle of the night. Also housekeeping did not leave coffee pods (upon arrival there were 4) one day house keeper left one when all 4 used, another day 2 left when all 4 used, another day 0. Gardens in the front of property full of flowers! However we were in a suite with patio area outside our bedroom and living area. Weeds in planters, no flowers as was the case elsewhere, yard trash, cigarette butts. Also multiple people on multiple evenings used the lounge back door to enter our patio space to talk, take pics, mill around. Would have preferred a sign at the stairs that said “private area, no entry” as we were having romantic evenings and felt like we had to tell people “this is our honeymoon suite”. Most people got the gist but some did not, some had to chase their kids out of our patio, no supervision. VERY disappointed for the AMOUNT $$$$ for our very special occasion. View super

The property is tricky to get around -it’s steep - lots of stairs and not very conducive to exploring. The sunsets are spectacular:)
