Great view and very affordable, room was a bit dated. Carrying luggage up and down the cliff and dealing with parking was not ideal but worth it overall.

Kudos to housekeeping team for maintaining the room.

The staff was very helpful, but some were a bit distant. The room and property were great, but the parking was somewhat limited and the walk to parking could be somewhat challenging for older guests.

We tried to go to the pool to relax and there were eight people there in the pool area and no chairs to sit in! The chairs were either occupied or had towels on them from people in the pool. We had to leave…. The shrimp dish at the bar was good. Food in the dining room was average. We went to happy hour and there was no food left 45 minutes before it was over. Little to no choice on the wine etc. Our overall opinion of this property isn’t good. I working go back there!

Had a great stay for our anniversary. Restaurant was great and all the staff we had interactions with were lovely. Valet service was a huge plus. The grounds and views are beautiful. Beds and pillows comfortable too. Only negative we could come up with is there is some road noise if you're closer to the front however if never bothered our sleep and the views made up for it.

Totally unassuming nestled in the cliffs overlooking the pacific. Then you walk onto the resort and the views are amazing, the rooms are phenomenal and the onsite amenities like the pool, restaurant and especially the staff are amazing.

A little slice of heaven in such a magical place. We even saw Humpback whales from our balcony.

Place was really beautiful! Location is right in the cliff of Pacific Ocean with 180 degree views. Incredible sunsets, great restaurant with friendly staff. Would def go back!!!

Overpriced stay. For the amount we paid, at a minimum complimentary coffee and tea should’ve been offered to guests. Food at Lodge average for such a high cost. Staff had chip on shoulders. Wouldn’t recommend.

Beautiful views almost anywhere on the property.

We had a balcony room with a view of the pacific coast. Watched a beautiful sunset from the privacy of our own room. Restaurant on-site was also a treat. Beautiful facility overlooking the ocean and great food. Will definitely stay at the hotel on any future trips to Carmel.

A unique property with exceptional views and natural surroundings. Well kept greenery, and grounds. Though it is a higher-end hotel, they left us without power from early evening into the late morning next day, so no heating (and you need it in the Carmel area even during the summer). The reception-desk staff was not forthcoming addressing our lack of morning coffee and power, so I did not feel really appreciated. Otherwise happy we had a chance to spend a few nights there. Memorable.

Super nice place. Very quiet and well maintained. We loved our stay. Our balcony looked over the ocean and we had a kitchen which worked out great for us. Really a special experience.

Stunning views and a wonderful location

Views are spectacular The rooms are not sound or vibration insulated, so when a room below or adjoining has movement within (just normal walking), the sound and movement are carried into the surrounding rooms. Our bed would shake from 12am-1:30am until people settled down for the night, making it impossible for us to sleep. Amenities are rudimentary, at best.

Nice hotel and staff with beautiful views but a bit overpriced for their amenities and small pool area.
