Everything about this lodge was excellent. Especially the customer service from the staff.

Love everything about it

Excellent property. My son got married here 12 years ago, after 12 years, it feel the same. Property is well maintained, beautiful flowers, herb garden, vieneyard. The restaurant is fantastic, food is good. Afternoon music with drink....love this hotel.

Super pet friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay with our family on the fourth, no firework noise to scare our fur babies. Kept the patio door open all night, had a nice breeze with the fire place going. Could ask for more.

Everything was generally great. Food was excellent rooms were very good with excellent products. The reception staff could have been a bit more informative around all the things that are available to guests.

Our room had a large hedge of flowering star jasmine right in front of our room patio area. I'm very allergic specifically to star jasmine so we couldn't enjoy opening the back patio door or sit out for very long. . Might be good idea to ask if there are any specific plants that may trigger allergies? Aside from that, all was fine. We appreciated all the complementary goodies in our room.

While we have always cherished our stays at Bernardus, this visit was somewhat disappointing. The front desk staff appeared distracted by their own conversations, which detracted from the usual warm welcome we’ve come to appreciate. Typically, a complimentary beverage is offered upon check-in, but this time we missed out on that special touch. We hope to see the attentive service that makes Bernardus truly exceptional. In addition, we always book the garden room. Unfortunately, Mirabella said the room we had booked was already allocated. She proceeded to give us a room up a flight of stairs, which was unacceptable since my husband had knee surgery. Because we booked through Expedia, they were not as accommodating. We ended up in an accessibility room. Although the hotel was not fully booked, it seemed very odd.

Great experience! Great view, and room is super clean. Bathroom is bright. The shower was upgraded! We enjoyed the drink and snack prepared for guest and they are free! Definitely will come back.

The whole property is just astonishing and looks like being in southern France The gym could be bigger and better equipped

The setting is rural and beautiful the food is usually top rate, but seems to have slipped a bit

We were on the 1st floor with not much views and loud upstairs neighbors (evening and early morning). Definitely recommend requesting an upper floor. Disappointing restaurant. Dinner main dish was way oversalted and breakfast croissants tasted like reheated frozen pastries. Also, zero acknowledgment of my birthday during the stay.

The food was delicious!! The Room Service was top notch ! Friendly and very timely and efficient. The Bed was soo cosy we felt as if we were sleeping on a cloud! There was not one thing we did not like!

I liked the heated floors, and big garden tub. The room was not that quiet.

Very peaceful place. Great location. Everything is perfectly clean and organized to make your stay a great experience. Nothing comes to mind.

Front desk staff seems reactive rather than proactive. Check in process was overly lengthy and clumsy.

Great facilities and amenities

Stayed here four years ago and loved it. Came back this time for our anniversary, let the front desk know the occasion upon arrival. Resort didn’t make any gestures to make the occasion special the entire stay. I let the front desk know that the glass divider for the shower had a large crack running through it. There was a stain on the bench at the in room dining table and the outdoor fireplace wasn’t working. The resort was not busy. The only offer provided was to move us into a room with a less desirable view. I declined, they completely ignored the inoperable outdoor fireplace for three days. Calling room service often took 2-3 calls to get someone to answer the phone. The stay was underwhelming. For this price I’ve had better experiences and service. We also traveled with our kids. At times it felt like we were at a 60+ resort, did not feel family friendly.
