My only complaint is the breakfast. I expect bed-and-breakfast accommodations to offer proper home-cooked breakfast. Unfortunately this B&B offered no home cooked fresh food items. Everything is processed and wrapped in plastic including the coffee which are coffee pods and it didn’t seem like they recycled those. I felt like this was a chain motel that serves breakfast, which is really breakfast featuring processed items and maybe fake eggs. The only non-processed items are bananas and apples, but they were also wrapped in plastic. Plastic waste is a concern for me. I don’t understand why everything had to be wrapped in it including all bread items. All utensils are plastic and you can’t pick a spoon if that’s all you need you have to take the whole utensil package. I think they should have proper coffee cups, plates, and real utensils. I would like to recommend that that if they are going to use so much plastic that they subscribe to a service such as Ridwell, which will send them bags so that all the plastic film can be sent back to this company and they will recycle it.

The Champaign Garden Inn is an absolute gem — a beautifully restored historic home that radiates charm from the moment you step inside. Every room feels thoughtfully curated, blending vintage character with modern comfort. The location couldn’t be better: a quiet, tree‑lined neighborhood within easy walking distance of the park and downtown Champaign’s wonderful restaurants. Our stay was peaceful, cozy, and genuinely memorable. I can’t recommend this lovely inn highly enough.

Wonderful place

We love staying here, and have been here previously at least once. The only negative is having to carry your luggage up to the second floor. Breakfast is self serve of a huge selection of frozen entrées, beverages and snacks. The large city park a block away is a delight to go to for a jog in the morning.

My stay was too brief to elaborate, but the Champaign Garden Inn is a gem. Wish I had more time to enjoy the surroundings.

We stayed in San Francisco suite, which had 2 rooms and Jack & Jill bathroom, great for 4 travelers. Only had 2 concerns. The master bedroom mattress was too soft and we didn’t get the rest we expected. Second was the bath tub, it definitely had character but one of us was not careful and got bruised while getting out, ie the tub is too high. Overall we had very positive experience, thank you!

We loved everything about the place! The house was beautiful along with the room, it felt luxurious. It was even nicer than the photos advertised. The bed was SO comfortable, and everything was very clean. Breakfast had good options, I ate a microwavable breakfast sandwich, but there was fruit, bread, muffins, coffee, tea, juice, and more. The place was in a quiet neighborhood, but close to campus which is where we spent most our time. We had no issue parking in their lot. I don't think there is any AC in the summer, but I didn't check with the host. It wasn't a problem for us because it wasn't too warm while we were there.
